Offering outdoor and indoor dining, lots of options, good food, lots of drinks.... will return again, enjoyed our visit!
I went for dinner on the patio with just my dog (very dog friendly) and the entire wait staff was so welcoming and generous towards us. My server, Isaiah, was fabulous. There was live music and the environment was refreshing. Lots of big tables on the patio with modern gas fire pits. I enjoyed the Korean beef salad as well as the wine selection. I definitely recommend this spot!
Cocktails were on point, food was horrible except the fries. Every vegetable was pickled and there was nothing added to take away any vinegar flavor. Mind you I love vinegar, but that is literally all I could taste. If you are going to pickle every veggie, please know how to compliment the flavor of vinegar. We will go back for a cocktail and fries but my hubby and I felt the price was ridiculous for the food. I got the veggie risotto and he got the chicken sandwich. His veggies were also pickled and they had mayo in the sandwich, I highly suggest an aoli over mayo when doing a chicken sandwich. The staff was accommodating and offered to put in another meal or to change up what we had. I really appreciate that as most places will just say "oh well." This is the reason we'll go back for a cocktail and fries. Honestly the cocktail with the honeycomb is one of the best I've ever had
Lots of indoor and patio dining. No wait on a Thursday evening. Menu is fairly limited, leaning toward sandwiches, burgers, fries. Salads were fresh and tasty.Service was quick. Wait staff friendly and attentive. We got a reasonably priced, good quality fast meal that was not fast food.
We ordered the cauliflower appetizer, steak, and salmon. Every bite was so tasty. Portions are good. The bartender made good drinks too. Loved the outdoor seating, most if not all have a ? on the table... a perfect way to stay cozy.
Was staying at the University Inn two doors down and went for supper. The host was excellent with us, great service and compliments to the chef on the pre seared salmon. It was super delicious with that lemony dill creamy sauce. So so good! Would highly recommend this place!
My wife had the burger and said it was the best burger she has ever had, and that is saying A LOT!!! I had the risotto and it was very good. THe smoky pineapple martini is definitely worth a try, if you like martinis. Our server Skyler was tops!!!
There are very few places in SLO that I absolutely love. This just happens to be one of them. The bartenders are attentive. The craft cocktails are spectacular. I recommend you try the crushed velvet if you love the taste of lavendar. The pizza and calamari were a great happy hour bite to it. The pizza is large enough for two adults as long as you two are not starving. The calamari lemon has a little net to prevent the seeds from going into your food. We will be back!
Atmosphere was cool. Food was hot & delicious. Service was friendly.
Lovely place right next door to our hotel. Excellent service and great ambience. Food was very tasty. We shared the Bavarian Pretzel & Beer Cheese followed by a Pesto Caprese pizza. Pretzel was light and fluffy with just the right amount of crunch. The whole grain mustard complemented the beer cheese. This type of cheese sauce can be very heavy and overbearing but 1865 have created a lighter texture with all the flavour. The pizza crust was just right and the toppings were just right.
