Every time they mess up on my food, every single time. Usually they moan and groan about remaking it but they do it. Today they laughed and said it would take at least 20 minutes to remake three tacos. Instead I asked for a refund and the short guy literally laughed in front of my face and didn’t fully refund my order. Will never be coming back again, everyone please beware of this joint and watch them as they make your food.
Food was delicious as always but they got an order wrong. It was a long wait but definitely worth it. They make the best tongue and they were out and out of green salsa but that's kind of expected. They seemed short staffed but despite that they were working hard and trying to make sure everything came out right.
El Gordo’s burritos are BOMB!!! I got a regular carnitas burrito with a side of crema (sour cream) and guacamole. Their carnitas are perfectly crispy and greasy, not too much not too little. The beans and rice were so authentically flavored. Such a delicious combination. Really sweet people working as well. I love this restaurant and come here often. They also have an outside location down the street from Walmart in San Leandro/San Lorenzo.
Workers are prejudice and likes to play around at work and waste people's time. I'm vegan and don't eat this food but I do come to pick up orders for their customers and they're super petty everytime I come in they act as if I am going to steal the food. The restaurant smells of mildew, mold and old food. So if I was going to "steal" an order it definitely wouldn't be from this place ??
Overpriced. Got the super burrito and barely had any meat. Didnt have that authentic mexican flavor jus taste like an american imitation mexican food. Pass on this spot
I usually don’t post reviews but I used to like this place but after yesterday I was disappointed to the point I won’t return. I ordered a chile verde plate - got home - had bones and sauce, hardly any meat - the meat that was there was hard and not chewable! Their food is not cheap for a 14 dollar plate - if I didn’t live so far I would have returned it !
Food was good. But they took forever to serve me. I don’t recommend this place if you have plans later on in the day.
Good tacos, long wait, place could use an update
This is a local tacqueria I go to. They have their restaurant location off of Floresta near the Pak n Sav and then their walk up taco stand right on Hesperian near Bayfair/Bayfair Bart.Their food is pretty good, they are always usually busy which is a good sign.I typically get their enchiladas and tacos. Their enchiladas rojas are delicious, and their shredded chicken filling is well seasoned and has a good little kick of spice.They have your typical mexican fare, jarritos, aquas frescas, cakes etc...Overall pretty good considering there are many tacquerias in the area which are all pretty good.
I ordered two burritos and specifically asked for no salsa, only meat beans rice and asada. Both came slathered in some green salsa, not guacamole, it was much more runny and spicy. So gross, will not return and inform others that the restaurant does not properly prepare customers’ orders
