Chicken tasted great but the customer service lacked warmth. No eye contact, thank you, or smiles from persons taking or handing me my order. Workers spoke to each other in Spanish in tones of displeasure about customers who requested anything. I did not feel welcomed or valued as a customer. There were food containers on the ground immediately outside of the door and trash.
The one star I gave is not for the quality of their food. It’s because the location at 13808 E 14th st. In San Leandro can’t seem to get orders correct. Make sure you check your bag for everything before you leave. They have a bunch of young kids working there who evidently can’t tell the difference between fish and chicken. Nor can they read orders. I had even order through their app and my husband picked them up. Yes he assumed the order would be correct and didn’t check it because he hasn’t had the past experience with them like I have. Anyway folks check what they gave you before leaving the restaurant.
This Popeyes location is clean and tastes better than a lot of other Popeyes. The Popeyes in Louisiana is smackin, this is slightly close to a location from the homeland. I'ma have to make a trip back out there. They make their food a bit better here than most locations.
The food is good. The problem is that it takes a long time from when you place your order till when you receive your food. Last visit the wait was over 20 minutes. Too long....
Long lines due to online orders slamming the crew. The line went outside because of distancing. I tried their spicy (not very) and classic versions of the fried chicken sandwich -- they were disappointing. They only give you 2 pickles. KFC's are better.
I'm really upset about my last experience here. I bit into my hot apple pie and started chewing, it was good. Took another bite and was unable to disconnect the piece from the base piece.? I realized I had bitten into paper of some sort. My dad bought the food and was not able to take the pie back to show the manager. I didn't need to pie anyway because I went hiking that day and the pie offset my workout. ? The best part was the piping hot fresh chicken...yum. I wish this never happened but someone didn't take their job serious that day.
Popeyes is real Fried Chicken, it has to be tried to fully appreciate it. Perfect Crispy Skin, Juicy Chicken.As a Bonus, a great selection of Sides. Its always busy, that says it all.
The lack of Customer service is outrageous. Like the place is run by teenagers. Chicken is never ready and the sides are stacked up under a warming tray. Never going back to this location. I will drive an extra 15 minutes to go to another location in a different city. If that doesn't let anyone know how bad this place is.....take your chances.
There’s only one guy working on counter and back, have to wait 30min just to order ,and then wait to get it, only come here if you have enough time least an hour , feel bad for poor guy running back , taking orders getting them ready plus impatient customers.
