We had yet another exceptional dining experience at Paradiso. The service was arguably the best we'd ever had. Lydia was attentive, friendly, professional and timely. The food was done perfectly, as usual. Meat dishes were cooked to the doneness requested, sides were plentiful and tasty. The crab-avacado app was loaded with crab and always a favorite. As was the fried calamari, with the aoli with a kick, and the warm marinara sauce - perfectly paired. Bottomless sparkling water and soda were appreciated and filled as much as we wanted. Just enough checking in throughout the meal for any needs. Perfect. This is always a favorite for special occasions or just a lovely meal out.

We're long-time fans of Paradiso. The food here dipped a bit when the long-time chef left last year, but it has come back strong with different interpretations of the menu standards. The clam chowder had a touch of tomatoes but was still creamy; the amount of clams in it was impressive! Every spoonful had clams in it. Absolutely lovely rendition. I had the beet salad; the line cook had salted the beets too heavily but except for that small error, the arugula/burrata/pistachios were excellent with the yellow and red beets. My king salmon was cooked a beautiful medium-rare as I requested. If you love seafood, we highly recommend the Seafood Louie. My spouse orders this often whenever he sees it on a menu, and said this version was by far the best he's had in decades. Chockful of Dungeness crabmeat, high quality Bay shrimp, giant prawns, and a generous amount of ripe avocado chunks. Love that Paradiso offers the simple option of a biscotti to go with after dinner coffee or espresso; wish more restaurants would do this instead of the idiotic ice cream sundaes (really? Are we all 12 yrs old?) we're seeing on too many menus. Good service, cheerful and welcoming.

I was very disappointed because I have eaten here before and it was great, but this time we were left a long time without service after we initially needed another minute, and my eggplant Parmigiano was really not good at all. For $25 I expect a better dish. It was tasteless, very breaded, texture not good, and the vegetables were devoid of any flavor or appealing preparation. The owner asked if everything was ok and I said nothing because I didn't want to embarrass him but I went from being a fan of the restaurant to not wanting to go back.

Paradiso is a great celebratory spot in San Leandro. Irlanda was a wonderful server who made an awesome drink recommendation and treated us to dessert on our anniversary. The ambiance was great overall, just a touch too loud (I couldn't hear much of what the other wait staff said). Ahi tuna and short ribs mains were very tasty and filling. We will be back to try more food and will recommend to friends and family!

The food was very good...serving things that one does not get at home...like the frittata and the short rib hash!

My friend and I are foodies- so both thought the food was so so or average. We would give it a C. We split a Caesar salad and thought the dressing was bland. I mentioned this to the owner when he asked. He told us that they had to tone down the dressing or something to that effect since most of his clientele felt the dressing was too strong. He said when you add the white anchovies ( which we had) it adds a lot to the flavor. ( but without them it’s bland) our entrees we good but not fabulous. The ambiance inside and out is beautiful.

I made a 6:30 reservation but had to wait for a table. I use a cane and I had nowhere to sit until our table was ready. The food and the service was excellent!

Grumpy waiter , pizza tasted like cardboard . The beet salad was good . They brought us a salad each with a little dish of dressing . Which we did not order. We did not touch it and told the waiter . Who picked up and served it to the table in front of us . I thought that was very unprofessional considering the pandemic that continues . They should have prepared them a new set of salads . Over all not a good experience , way over priced .

We have been dining here for many years and besides the service and overall ambiance is the consistency of the food and menu. I have never had a bad experience here. Also it is very popular with local clientele which makes it so successful.

This was the first time that I had been to Paradiso and our group thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was wonderful and Andre, our waiter, was a delight.
