Great old style diner feel. Food is delicious, portions generous, simple menu. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Menu has changed a bit. Some items are still available but not listed. For instance they have waffles but they aren't on the menu. Their bacon is thick and crunchy. They do have a kids menu available for 12 and under. Crayons and coloring menu mat no longer offered. Two children can probably share one item. Recommend the Emil's special omelette, the brisket and french toast.
My husband and I went in to have lunch was told it would be a 15 minute wait no problem took our name and we sat down there were about 3 couples ahead of us we now are the only couple left and about 20minutes into our waiting when a couple came in not disable just gave his name and kept telling the waitress how much longer but we knew we where next to my surprise the waitress seated them and my husband and I are still waiting at this point we are now the only ones not seated oh I forgot to mention the couple was white and we were not we got up and told the waitress this really felt like racism we will never return
Haven’t been here in a while. Went there with some friends to watch the super bowl. They’ve re-done everything and it’s amazing. They have a bunch of TVs and a big section for events or big parties. Food was amazing. They’re wings were fire and the ultimate burger with onion rings was really good. Servers were awesome even though they were super busy. Going back soon!
We had the Chicken Fried Steak breakfast. It was delicious and the sevice was great.
They renovated since I was there last time, The ribs were excellent
Went there for lunch around noon and the service was very slow. Some of the food like the pork chops and sweet potato fries were not edible. Was very disappointed and will never go back.
Had better patty melts. They need to slice the onions & caramelize & add more onions to the sandwich. Do not chop up the onions, harder to eat without having pieces fall out.
The whole thing was bad. Bland and tasteless sides. Dry and bland bbq meats. Just no good at all. Really disappointed. I have heard so much about them and they do this to me. No good.
Great Bar B Que!! This place is a San Leandro treasure!! My favorite is the full slab sport special! Good serving of ribs& 2 large sides--beans & coleslaw. Best beans I have ever had! Made in house, tangy sauce so good. I love their coleslaw!! Fresh fresh cabbage with their legendary coleslaw dressing on the side. My mother started coming here years ago, and always tried to duplicate their magical coleslaw dressing.I love their ribs & meats! Slow smoked, not greasy and with such wonderful flavor! You don't need sauce on them, but wow, their "red" sauce is the best sauce I have ever tasted! Oh yeah; great pies, breakfasts and salads too! Best dang Cobb salad ever!
I ordered the chicken fried steak with sausage gravy. It was deep fried and cooked almost to burned. Too Crunchy crisp. Gravy came as a side dish. Which wasn't sausage gravy. It had bits of ham in it. Ordered side of grilled veggies. They were cold al dente and no seasoning to say the least. We were the only ones in the resturant, still took longer than expected to get food. My sister had a bacon burger which she enjoyed. For me its never again.
