One of my favorite delis in San Leandro. The sandwiches are huge and delicious. We’ve tried most of them but I’ve found the Classic Italian on Sourdough (Salami, Pepperoni, Bologna) is the best. Owners are great as well.
Walked by this place by chance, was in the mood for a sandwich, and this is the place to go. Bara’s excels at both quantity and quality. What they lack in foot longs, they make up for with the stacked high sandwiches with fresh quality ingredients. The variety of sandwiches are so extravagant, you wouldn’t know where to start. By their own admission, and my own as a consumer, Bara’s deli is far superior to Subway and Togo’s. I recommend this place to anyone.
We were recommended to Bara's Deli by my brother. He and his co-workers go there often. We've had a good experience both times with selection and freshness of ingredients. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a delicious and meaty sandwich with various bread options. One small nit: I ordered a mozzarella and pesto panini and while the flavors were good, the cheese was scarce leaving the edges of the sandwich without anything in between the pieces of bread.
The best deli sandwiches. Family owned and operated. Coming soon more cheeses, baked goods. Can't finish a whole sandwich they are big with plenty of meat and condiments. So fresh and delicious!
Been here twice thus far. Both times I was greeted immediately upon entry and given attention while staring as uncomfortablly long as I did at my options.Both times I got a sandwich called "the hang over" and both times the sandwich was just bomb baby! They offer you the ability to customize all of the menu items or just up and make your own all together.Will be back, thanks guys!

There's some good sandwiches here. I usually order online and pick up. No line or temp check before entry.
If there's a better sandwich spot in the SL, SLZ, or Hayward area, I don't know where it is. Bara's is my fav spot when I'm craving a hearty deli sandwich. They always seem busy so ordering ahead online saves you some waiting.
Delicious! I had a turkey, avocado, bacon, and cheddar on sourdough roll (the Cali Club). Can’t wait to try another sandwich :)
Great Bam Bam sandwich with pastrami, roast beef, and corned beef! I added pepperoncini and red onion and all the complimentary fixins except the mustard - I also left happy! Half a sandwich is plenty, but you'll keep eating because it's good. They also sell hefty bags of day old sandwich bread.
