Very cute ramen shop. We ordered black garlic ramen and angry tantanmen with 2 side dishes, fried octopus and angry fries. Noodles were chewy and soup was smooth and flavorful. Traditional and decent ramen choice in bay area ?
Tonkatsu ramen was really good. The wait staff was friendly and happy. Now, why some people think they're angry? I have no idea......?
Oh my gosh, I don't even know where to start... This place has a delicious tonkotsu broth that is just perfectly combined with eh chewy ramen to create a sensational feeling in your mouth. This place deserves a five stars ans I really recommend this place!
Customer service was really rude I tried to order a ramen and they cut me off and went to another person to take their orders. Then when it was my turn to order they were rushing trying to hurry up and avoid me then I waited for 20 minutes for my ramen to come out. They take so long to make one ramen for me. Gladly, I didn't pay any tips for them. They were horrible I don't recommend eating there.
The broth has great flavor and the ingredients feel fresh. The noodles are made in house and the texture is perfect.
I've just gotta say, wow. We were craving ramen on this cold fall night last night and haven't been here before and decided to check it out. Pleasantly surprised. It's right next to the mall so my expectations weren't high, but this place is great! I've been to tons of ramen shops all over the place and this is definitely the stand out for our local area within a 20 minute or so driving distance (until you go to Union City). You walk in and there's a lot of greenery which makes it feel homey. One of my only quibbles is that the door to the place was left open a bit too wide considering how cold it was that night in fall. I was fine but my wife was cold. Anyways. We ordered the Black Tonkotsu Ramen (2x) along with pork buns (2x) and truffle fries. Everything was great. Our ramen got here before our appetizers (this might be one of the only complaints) but the fries were given at the same time. The fries were so addictive! Lots of salt of course, but whatever part of truffles they put into it, it tasted great. The ramen had sous vide pork belly in it, and this was the most tender and soft pork belly I have had in ramen in a very long time. It was basically just melt in your mouth. Delicious! The egg was properly soft boiled as well. The broth was great, though not as garlicky as I'd like - still a lot of flavor though. The ramen noodles themselves if I had to pick were probably the weakest part, as they were the super skinny noodles. They gave a good serving amount of them but in a broth like this I think I would have preferred the thicker ramen noodles other places would have. The pork buns also got there about halfway through our ramen being done, and those too were great. They had what tasted like some kewpie mayo and spicy Mayo in it, along with some spinach too.All in all, a delicious meal for a great price. Seriously surprised that it's so great considering it's "just here in Bayfair at San Leandro. "We'll definitely be coming back another time. So glad we tried it out last night!
Excellent ramen and katsu curry chicken, maybe the best I've had outside of Japan
Absolutely best ramen joint I’ve been to, the fried octopus were spectacular and should definitely be added to the menu in my belief…. Two thumbs up
Must try the black garlic tonkutsu! Glad to have great ramen in this part of town.
I recommend for the service- very sweet, super attentive and accommodating staff. Ramen is ramen, and it was sitting prepackaged on the dining table as you walk in to place your order, and a little expensive for soup, but tastes good and arrives hot. The broth is good and the soft boiled eggs make the entire bowl better. My first time there and was given the wrong soup, but they fixed it right away and got to have both soups, so bonus.
