Good drinks, good wings and fries at happy hour. We also tried some dim sum that was just ok. Service was terrible unfortunately.
I would be giving a 4 or 5 stars but the bartender/food guy named Sam is horrible. From the first day he started working the food/bar its been a bad experience. He always mentions how people need to tip him but his service sucks. He's rude, and he doesn't even know basic drinks at the bar. The casino should definitely fire that guy. As long as Sam works there I will never go there. It used to be a great place for my coworkers and I to go after a long work week but now it's not.
M husband, daughter, and I visited San Jose over Father’s Day weekend to spend time with our son who lives there now. We stayed at an airport hotel as that was the most economical choice for the weekend and we happened upon Zone 8 by chance. It is located in the M8trix Casino next door to the Fairfield Inn and Suites. Zone 8 has an extensive menu of items offered at very reasonable prices. The eatery is very spacious with multiple televisions, stylish in an understated way, and welcoming. The service was excellent. We enjoyed dim sum appetizers, steak, chicken, a patty melt, and desserts. The portion sizes are large and the food was delicious. We would definitely visit again.
Food was awesome, place is good, not sure why, but only 4 stars, ill go back and see if it gose up to 5 stars, but right now I have to stick with 4...
Happy hour special is the best. Half off wings and $5 draft beers. Wings are huge and very flavorful.
Nice outdoor “patio” despite TV not working. The not-working TV is forgivable due to the staff truly not neglecting us as the only people on the patio. It has the tap beer one would expect at a sports bar restaurant. The great highlight is the food, I had some of the best potstickers in this mixed-cuisine restaurant and also enjoyed some of my friend’s jalapeño calamari. I enjoyed that big Cobb Salad which was deliciously nourishing. Most of all, I had the New York Cheesecake dessert with a good amount of fresh berries. That cheesecake dessert was one true case maker for any theory claiming that cheesecake was invented as a vehicle for kids to eat their berries. DELICIOUS!!!!
The food is very good parking is a little tricky especially if there's a big sporting event. However they do have valet service if you want to pay for it. The only reason I can't give the matrix five stars is because many times have been there the waitresses are not the friendliest aren't as helpful as they can be a lot of them look like they don't want to be there.
Very good food with very good ambiance present inside this place, we loved to spend here our quality time with some quality food.
Good Bar & Good Ambiance
The sports bar was sitting right under my nose and I totally missed that. I get it… maybe they don’t promote this spot enough to put it on my radar but anyways - did a Super Bowl watch party here with close friends. The best happy hour (in fact they got two happy hours), amazing finger foods, tried their pizza and wings, fries basket, burger was huge too for the price you pay - and you can pair with a beer and get a discount, for some reason they were having audio issues here and there but still had full house. Got Sunday prime rib ? dinner for $20, Taco Tuesday (3 for $5), and what not…. And it’s open 24/7!! I can’t stop raving about this spot…. I’ll end up frequenting this place from now on.
