I love this place. Very clean and good service. The seafoods are so fresh, the price is also reasonable. I will come back for sure.
I have been craving hot pot lately and I wanted to try Wu ji’s Mala house for long time and finally had the opportunity to. I got the Lamb Mala pot with 0.5 level of spicy. It was spicy enough for me and I was content with it, but it still made me sweat. The dish included Lamb with vegetables, tofu, fish ball, beef tendon, stewed tripe, pork intestines and glass noodles. They served it with individual pots with a fire going on the bottom. The cabbage on the side provided a perfect crunch to the dish. You can also cook the cabbage to make it soft. I enjoyed this place and will be coming back.
Tow regular pot for $43 + tipThe taste is ok, but the price is too high for me.
Still having dreams about there hot pot soo good
Came here during restricted dining (covid), there was dining outside and it was a great experience. Still the best hot pot in San Jose
Because this is a 'hot pot' restaurant, the smell of the fuel used for the hot pots is prominent, and it affects the taste of the food. Ventilation would help -and a little cleaning.Lunch as also rather costly at $20.
Been regularly coming here since it's my friend's favorite mala hot pot spot.We normally order the mala pot with house ingredients; difference being mala pot ingredients include tendon, tripe, and pork intestine while house ingredients has more veggies and shrimp.Choose your spice level, 1 - 5, and if you order anything above 3, ask for some extra tissues for your nose. Their broth has that numb tingling sensation from the peppercorn. This is a very filling lunch, so expect food coma if you come during a workday lunch. Also, REALLLLY high sodium, but hey, it's the price of deliciousness.Only way this place could get better is if they took credit cards.
My husband and I love this place a lot! The soup is excellent. They only accept cash.
Level 3 was super spicy but super yummy. Failed to cook all sides before fuel runs out, should be able to fix that next time.
Poor service attitude! The waitress didn't have a smiley face, like someone owed her money! And when you ask me if I need a level 1 spiciness, you don't tell me what that means. After all, not every guest is a regular guest. I tipped after dinner and wanted to pay for a drink and sit on a stool outside their door,But they refused, telling me to close the door immediately and recycle the stools. But when I returned an hour later, the stool was still outside. There were almost no customers in the shop at that time, they just didn't want to bother!
