Five stars all the way. Martin was charismatic, informative, and professional in the way he served our group, helping us all find our perfect beer. I can't wait to return here to enjoy the delicious beer and wonderful service.

My brother and I have recently taken to a grand tour of brewpubs, taphouse and breweries in our area. Last week's destination was True Brew. Wow. A great selection of beers, a friendly knowledgeable staff and way too many beers to sample in a single visit!! Good times!

great beer, food was awesome

Came here before the Fluffy show and it was easy getting in. Service was quick and I had a beer called something cat andy guest had one called Sad Dad and both were great. I had the carnitas fries that were good. They were out of the 3 other things we wanted and we wanted to try the PELMENI cause it looked great but they were much smaller than the picture and it said sauteed and garlic butter and parmesan but as you can see they were very plain. So that was disappointing. But overall a nice place and I'd go again before a game or show since it's just down the street from the SAP Center.

Place was a bit barren and very echoey. No formal menu - needed to scan on the phone to pull up. And they didn't have half of the items in the menu when we went. The music was piped in very loudly, making it hard to hear conversation. The food was very average for a high price. They had a variety of beers, but did not quite meet our tastes. The server was helpful and attentive, so don't want to fault him with the poor ambiance, but wouldn't choose to go back.

I'm honestly very surprised that reviews here are as good as they are. The beer was flat, the salad was exclusively the worst parts of iceberg lettuce, the chicken sandwich had no flavor but was tolerable, and we had to have them remove the pelmeni appetizer from the bill because it was disgusting. There's no way it could have been considered chicken. I would have preferred nuggets from any fast-food restaurant. Try this place if you like but you've been warned.

The food was not very good. But as a sports bar, to hang out with big groups, it's a good choice. They also have an extensive beer list

I really appreciate places like True Brew that have such an extensive draft beer offering. They have not been open long and during the pandemic to boot. Glad to support. The food is delicious and quick; was willing to accommodate my desire to mix ingredients that weren’t specified with certain dishes.

Friendly service. Good beer selection. Food was a bit limited (one item wasn't available) but what we did get was tasty.

Five star reviews are difficult to give these days, but I have to say that True Brew San Jose checked every box of excellence. We went in for a couple of brews and four hours later we realized they had closed, cleaned and were kindly not disturbing our conversation. Like a gourmet backyard, so very comfortable.## The review:Platinum service all around, from the food to decor to friendly service... exceptional all around.1. The decor was modest but tastefully elegant. Solid wood table tops, offset color scheme, good lighting all very well done2. The food was exceptional, seriously first class... I don't get to say this often but the pictures DO NOT LIE! Everything tasted delicious, and we tried several options3. Most importantly the beer... With 60+ options on the menu it's a bit daunting. Ask them, our "cicerone" or beer sommelier will undoubtedly laugh when he reads this but beer is IMHO taste subjective like wine. We had two discerning gentleman that asked our tastes, and made recommendations that were spot on. Don't read the menu, ask and let experts guide you. Don't think, trust... you won't be disappointed. This is the first time I visited this Taphouse & Kitchen, but now it's on my short list of favorite places.
