Unfortunately, we called at 6, from an hour away and asked if they'd be open when we arrived. They said they would and failed/forgot to mention their dining room closed at 7 and they'd only do take out. We arrived at 7:10. When trying to ask to talk to someone to explain our situation, they ignored us even though they were right in front of us and looked right at us and could hear us. When they finally chose to respond, and we explained that we were on our way home from a funeral and went out of our way to stop there and even called ahead to make sure they'd be open, asking if they could possibly work with us, as we had no way to do take out, they were visibly agitated and aggressively replied they did tell us and there was no possible way they could help us out because it was more important that they left the restaurant by 8pm than to show some understanding or own up to their mistake. Mistakes are normal. We all make them. And in my line of work, if I accidentally put someone else in a bad spot, I work with them to make it right. I hoped they would do the same and was disappointed that they did not. But even if they chose not to serve us, which is their perogative, good business or otherwise, I was more surpised and shocked by how the employees treated us with so much contempt for even trying to communicate with them and is the real reason for this review. Who knows? Maybe they were having a tough night...but so were we. Hopefully, they will learn how to become more flexible and respectful when interacting with customers. In the meantime, we'll take our business elsewhere, which they told us outloud they didn't mind at all. ?♀️

This has been my favorite place for several years,I don't live in San Jose anymore but I told my kids on my death bed they will need to fly it in ,lol I have tried stromboli at other places not even close this is the only place I'll eat stromboli..... Love this place..
Disappointed! Ordered Manicotti, side of sausage and a canoli. Manicotti came in a burnt tin looked like a TV Dinner, tiny little sausage in this small container and the sauce and sausage had no flavor and a canoli that looked like it's been sitting there for a week. It's disappointing an owner of any restaurant would send food out like that.
The Stromboli here is a delicious! Its a nice healthy size which is sure to fill an individual up. However the Pizza is completely overpriced for the quality they deliver. but the Stromboli completely makes up for it! The sauce is too good.
What happened to the Stromboli! Been coming here for 30 years and Stromboli is always great, ordered uncooked yesterday and there was no mustard in it. Sauce that is always to die for was thin and not as flavorful as usual. Stromboli was smaller then usual too. I’ll always give them my business but if it’s the same next time I’m out. Don’t change what your family has done since you opened!
Been coming here for over 40 years. Pizza and Stromboli are excellent! Homemade sauce! Owners/Family are friendly and remember you! My kids now go here as well.
My father took me here to get Stromboli when I was a kid and I loved it ever since. I commute across the Yay Area to get here! Always good and satisfying! ? #HazyJavi music
I've had italian food before I guess they thought I didn't.I ordered I rigatoni dish . what a disapointment. Just plain tomato sause with pasta seemed to have been just taken out of freezer and put in oven. Garlic bread was worst I could have done it in my home toaster, just toasted sourdough with oil like girlic spread no cheese no home baked very disapointing. very blant. Wont be comming back here. I must say you can't call this italian restaurant no way. for a $ 20.00 dish I cound have gotten way better at my regular ITALIAN PLACE LUIGI'S PIZZA AND PASTA in campbell.
They have the best sauce within 100 miles. Stromboli and ravioli a pizza and to top off with a canoli. Just perfect and the price is so reasonable it's our Italian family favorite. Definitely 5 stars!
