We had a great experience here. Pork Sandwich was really good. Tasty. New flavor for me. Good size for two if you ask chicken wings and share. The wings were amazing. The place has good ambiance. Pet friendly. They have seating inside and out side. Good beer and the service was really good.
Yeah it’s a no from me. The seating is magical, the price is reasonable for me. I didn’t try the wings. This restaurant is ran by an older Vietnamese couple. For the current situation, I will have to give this 1 star. I waited for 30 minutes, walk inside and ask for my order because I saw another table got their food before me, although they are also walk-in. Only until then they take the receipt of my order inside the kitchen. WHAT? I thought about making a scene and just get my money back but thinking about it’s prolly not (entirely) their fault that they are so short-staffed, I stop and just take my L.
I looked at the reviews and the pictures. But It was too good to be true. ? The boneless chicken wings were hard to chew, tasted old. It felt like they hadn't changed the oil they fry them in.The Bao Buns were not great at all. The chicken again terrible.? It was just awful. The pictures can be so deceiving.? The only thing I ate was the fries. This was not what I was expecting. Never again! And what sucks the most, I've been waiting to come to this place. ? Reminder!!! The pictures can look great but the taste is completely different.???
Excellent service and tasty food! Had the Bahn Mi and the spicy pork fries and they were great! Beer was cheap during Happy Hour too.
Great foodie joint, great small collection of beers with happy hours all week 4-6.The bao buns were good , and wings were crisp outside and juicy inside with great balance of flavors
One of my favorite little places in downtown San Jose is The Nest Asian Bistro. Try out their happy hour. Bao Buns and Banh Mi Flight are a must! #vietnamesefood #koreanfood
The Nest Asian Bistro is a quaint, small, family-owned restaurant situated on the first floor of a restored yellow home on Third near San Carlos in downtown San Jose. I like the place. The woman, whom I assumed was the owner/manager was warm, cordial, and helped me decide what to eat since this was my first visit to the Nest Asian Bistro.I ordered 8 chicken wings, and at the owner/manager’s suggestion, I selected two different styles/tastes. Four of the wings were called Habanero Soyum, which were tangy, tasty, sweet, and spicy. The other four chicken wings were a Cajun dry rub that was spicy but not wet. I loved both styles of chicken wings and am quite happy that I ordered two different styles that provided a pleasant taste contrast. The Nest Asian Bistro is located downtown San Jose. There is a public parking structure mostly blue in color on Third at the corner of San Carlos. As of March 2022, the first 90 minutes if parking is free and that is a wonderful benefit thanks to the city of San Jose.I had only the chicken wings. But the Nest Asian Bistro has quite a diverse menu, including Vietnamese sandwiches (Banh Mi), soups, French fries, sizzling plates, seafood, burritos, noodle plates, and more.
I ordered wings & a pizza directly from them through Square at 12:02pm. Estimated pickup time was 12:25. I got there at 12:40 and only the pizza was ready. The wings finally finished at 1:01.Not only did they completely blow passed the estimate, it took an hour to get our food that wasn’t even cooked at the same time.
The food is fantastic. Fresh and delicious.
Wings were good, great size. Side sause was barely 1/4 full and fries were a joke hardly any in the bag. Got a 8 wing combo. It came with a can of sprite. $20.
