We ordered the chicken momo and chicken chow mien, both were very flavorful. The tomato chutney was right on the money with its sneaking nice kick spice. Just try it
Amazing flavor. The spices and the sauce are just spectacular. The chicken momo is delicious and the chicken fried rice hit the spot. Don't let the truck fool you... the food is better than any sit-down restaurant around.
Such a horrible experience this time. Not coming here anymore. I was a regular customer and this time i ordered over the phone for veggie chowmein. I told him to put very less veggies because sometimes there is more veggies than noodles. When i reached there and started eating, we only had 6 or 7 spoons of chowmein and the box was filled more than half with veggies underneath. When i told the person who takes the order. I even showed him the box. He said i am sorry but we cant do nothing about it. I mean seriously!!!!. We paid for it and we deserve to get good food. Customer service was horrible.
We were visiting San Jose and came to have some warm lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The place was a pleasant surprise with affordable prices and a selection of fresh, warm, and healthy food cooked right at the place. For example, they had not fried/fat rice and dumplings (momos) options. The place was not crowded, but customers were coming and going. We ended up ordering vegetarian rice and momos, paid around 19 usd for everything. The place has tables next to it, we were eating there, but people were mostly taking away.Overall, the food was tasty, sufficient portions, the service - fast and polite. I have only one suggestion to the food: I would love to have sour cream to my dumplings :)One negative observation is the amount of plastic and waste that the order generated: we got all the food wrapped in foil and placed in paper containers, we got plastic forks and spoons, we got several sauces in plastic cups, everything was wrapped in a plastic bag. I wish there was an alternative to all this plastic, which we did not really need because we were eating right at the place.Overall I can recommend this place, it is a very good budget alternative to the expensive restaurants on the Santana street.
A hidden gem across the street from Santana Row on Winchester. Nepal style Indian-Chinese style dishes from a food truck. Known for the Momo, a small stuffed chicken or veg dumpling, this tasty snack is flavorful. The menu consists of veg and chicken options of chow mein and fried rice. The portions are large and the spice profile is well balanced with a bit of heat at the end.
This food truck is next to the gas station. The veggie momos are delicious as well as the sauces (spicy, but not nuclear). Ordered and paid online. Very friendly service. Food was ready when I arrived. They have a seating area as well.
The food is really good and the price is really reasonable, the staff is also really nice. The only downside is that it takes a while to get your food, which is understandable but sucks since food trucks are usually pretty quick. I wish I could do 4.5 stars, still totally recommend giving them a try!
One of the best place to have momos as well as indo-chinese food in the town. The place is having vegetarian options as well. Must try their lime soda along with momos!
It was probably the worst chilly chicken I ever had. The chick pieces were unusually large, and the texture was way off. The sauce tasted nothing like that of chilly chicken. The whole thing tasted like boiled chicken covered lightly with some generic bland sauce. It was so bad that I felt compelled to write a review, which I never do.
I am a huge momo fanatic. Love 'em and can eat them everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tried chicken momo from this place today for the first time and was very disappointed. First of all, the portion of chicken in the chicken momo was almost nonexistent-- probably 10% chicken and 90% veggies. Second of all, they barely put any momo masala, making the momo taste like Chinese dumpling. It was pretty bad. Lastly, the amount of sauce they provided was a joke. They cut corners everywhere possible-- never trying them again. Also bought chilly chicken and that was even more disappointing. Looked like mashed eggplant. Refer to the pictures I posted.
