Amazing place! I have had the chance to eat seafood in several countries (from very cheap to high-class places) and I can say that this is the first time that I could try all types of shrimps they prepare and this because one after the other was very tasteful.In addition the environment is very nice. Music, people around you and service is on top of its class.I definetly recommend this place strongly for those seafood lovers who are in San Jose area.I hope to go back there in a near future.
Took my friend here who was visiting from out of town and wanted authentic Mexican food. We were not disappointed! This place is amazing! The food is great and so are the drinks! Chavelas and micheladas were excellent. Some of the dishes look like they are right out of a foodie magazine. Would recommend this place to anyone who loves Mexican food with a feeling of being in Mexico. Wait staff was very attentive.
I have been there many times and I love it. But this time was so amazing because the waiting list was supposed for one hour, and they called us in only 40 minutes. Once we had sat the waitresses were attending us so fast and very good service.
I've traveled to all 50 US states and lived in Mexico. Tequila's Taqueria reminds me of the time I lived in Mexico.I was visiting San Jose for the weekend and looked up Mexican restaurants. After parking and hearing the loud music I was excited. We got seated and the WaitressTook our order as we waited for our food girls stoped by to ask if we wanted to buy flowers other girls also stopped by selling dessert, giving us tequila drinks and the mariachi playing music.This is an amazing experience take it from someone that's traved to every city in the US and loves Mexican food.This is a must try
The food was great. The music was too loud in the restaurant, but we just moved to an outside table and we could hear ourselves think again. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Hubby and I were in a rush, but wanted to try this place out. We shared an asada super burrito, and got a couple of super chavelas with shrimp. The burrito was pretty good, and decently priced. But the chavelas were not as good and very expensive. I think it was a particular sauce that threw them off. The shrimp was juicy, but devoid of actual flavor (aside from the sauce), and the beer didnt taste seasoned- so fell kind of flat. The place was packed tho, staff was attentive enough- so we'll be back again to try something else ?
The food in is really good and I would have given them five stars, but the music is SO LOUD ok in this place that you can't even carry on a conversation.

Wowww, this is definitely the best mexican restaurant in bay area!Great service, clean place, great music and awesome food!The price is good, not so cheap and not so expensive!We tried Camarones al ajo, super nachos and kids meal! All plate were very well served, each plate can serve 2 people!
Tasty fresh platters of mongos..cucumbers....yummy fat prawns with ice cold beer... count me in. I go just for chavelas with prawns full of authentic Mexican flavors. Can't go wrong. Staff are friendly. Best in San Jose.
