1 star only because I must to write a review…Seriously THE VERY WORST PERSIAN FOOD I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO PAY $90 FOR?. Swimming in grease, the beef and chicken had been soaked in the same greasy spices so much so that they had lost any original flavor. God only knows where you guys have been eating prior to here? I suspect ALL of the positive reviews written here were by family and friends of restaurant owners. Honestly I feel nauseous, pretty sure I’ll be seeing this barely eaten meal again within the hour?????????. I’ve never left a Persian restaurant before feeling as if I’m about to vomit. Uurgh, and I paid for this!!
Hands down the best Persian kebab I've ever had in the whole US. I tried Persian kebabs in more than 20 states and never had such a tender flavorful authentic kebab. We got chicken thigh and ground beef (Koubideh) combination and it was absolutely perfect. Kebabs were juicy and full of delicious authentic persian flavors. The rice was cooked to perfection and it was the closest rice to the ones we used to cook at home for parties (I'm from the north of Iran where we grow and cook the best rice in our lands, so please trust me on that). Hamed, the owner, was super friendly. He let us sit and have our food on his table eventhough we went there pretty late in the night and ordered our food to go. I difinitely recommend this place if you want to have a piece of heaven in your mouth.
Amazing food!! I tried "The Bomb" sandwich and it's exactly named as it should be... It's the bomb!! And Very filling. Also tried the combo chicken and koobideh plate. Both meats very juicy and tasty. Although a bit pricey, it's definitely worth every penny because it's more than one meal in one plate. I wish this place a lot of success and I'll definitely be coming back for many more ?
Everything was absolutely incredible. The beef was packed with flavor & juicy, the rice was buttery & delicious, and the perfectly charred jalapeños & tomatoes were the cherry on top. I will 100% be coming back. Not to mention this place closes at 10pm—Perfect for night owls like myself
The best chicken kabobs I've ever had, probably in my life. High quality food in a clean restaurant with good friendly staff. Everything about this place is clean and well kept. Great job !
If your around the area or shopping at Eastridge. This is a great to have A Taste of Persia. I was there for the first time a couple weeks ago and had a pleasant experience.Don't let yourself be fooled by the place being empty, most places are affected during this pandemic times but, if you're in for kabobs or Sandwich this is the place.
Food was really tasty and fresh. I ordered the Bomb sandwich and koobideh.
Yogurt was the best of table! And kobide was fine. Not a good rice.Price wasn't match with quality. Store need cleaning, a bit disappointing.
It's unusual to see a Middle Eastern venue in this part of town, but I think it's a welcome addition, ads a bit of diversity to the food scene here. Taste of Persia is located in a small strip mall with a decent amount of parking. The inside was clean and inviting with a decent amount of seating. The gent behind the counter was friendly and pleasant. He did mention the Kabab would take about 15 minutes to make...no worries.~ COMBINATION OF CHICKEN & BEEF KABAB - 3/5Your standard Kababs or Kebabs...depending on how you say it. Definitely tasty, hearty and good size plate. Nothing amazing for the price. The food was tasty, but a tad too expensive in comparison to other spots I visited. My meal was $31.71 for the combo and a drink!! ouch!! I probably won't be back. Wishing this place all the best.
We had ordered 5 sandwiches and every single one of them was great quality. Fresh meat, cooked perfectly, and fresh vegetables.Staff were great, helpful and very nice going through the menu and ingredients.I highly recommend this place, one of the best Persian foods in San Jose.
