We ordered off the menu and one plate from the revolving Plates and the tuna from the plate was warm the sushi we order from the menu didn't look fresh. I noticed the person cleaning the tables was also serving food.Before we got home our stomachs were rumbling and bubbly.. Good thing we have multiple bathrooms cause it wasn't good.That evening we had the runs with cramps at 11am we went to the ER because we feel we had food poisoning.And the staff from the hospital asked us what sushi restaurant we went to so they wouldn't go or be near it.We definitely will not return to this place.Hopefully we are the only ones who suffered from this..
We've been dining here a few years and are sad with recent developments. As of March 2022, we drove by to eat, and the place was closed. There was a change of ownership sign on the door. And another sign stating: Power Outage/CLOSED. Well, there were numerous other establishments OPEN in the immediate area...so not sure if the phone number changed or its changing hands and not yet open. No one will pick up the phone, and I've called 4-5X letting the phone ring and ring with no one picking up.
This is our favorite sushi spot in Japan town. The customer service is really good and everyone is very welcoming. The sushi is great and reasonably priced. Been coming here for years.
Such a fantastic experience!Coming to Sushi Maru was such a great idea for me and it was very unique! I loved how the service was so friendly and very understanding! The food was absolutely amazing and a lot of really good choices to pick from!Definitely would recommend as a great place for sushi!
This has been my family and friends favorite Japanese spot since my friends introduced me to it back in 2004. We always go here for Japanese. Fresh fish, best salad dressing, and even though their chicken can get a little over done sometimes the terryiaki chicken sauce is amazing.

The food are really good. Great staff and very attentive and friendly. We love the hamachi kama. The sushi train is awesome. We love the seared salmon. Its also cool that they have a rewards card. I recommend the place to my friends and family.
Great spot for sushi! Highly recommend you bring friends here so you can order different sushi plates and try them all out. We ordered 12 different types of sushi rolls. All of them were delicious, my favorite where the spicy salmon ones (it is has a nice kick!!!). Friendly environment, has a small restaurant vibe.
I showed up during busy lunch hours. Although the restaurant was busy, the Waitress Alondra quickly sat me down and proceeded to have my meal ready very quickly. Staff was very attentive and great food! Love it!
Came here for lunch and wasn't disappointed. Restaurant was surprisingly almost empty (they had construction and detour in the area) but don't think it's related to the food quality. We sampled their Sashimi (price you pay vs quality) is very good value. Their appetizers are spot on, but the two roll specials (personal preference) was a bit heavy handed with the sauce. But still the rolls were rolled tight and prepared well.Plenty of ample metered street parking, and staff here are friendly.
