Although the food taste it decent my food was cold and there was a small surprise in there also, an uncooked cold piece of tomato. Unfortunately it did not Live up to my expectations of Persian Resturant.
Stone Stew was one the our favorite Persian restaurant in the Bay Area. It was so good that during 2021 to 2022 we ordered around $4500 worth of food from this restaurant.Suddenly everything has changed! Our previous orders faced many issues. We ordered regular Ghormesabzi from Doordash and they sent vegetarian Ghormesabzi; we ordered vegetarian Gheymeh for our vegetarian friends, they prepared regular Gheymeh (with meat) for us. And for the very recent order, this afternoon, I asked for 10 skewers Koobideh, they said they have just 5 ready and if I want 10, I need to wait one hour (it was 6 pm Friday afternoon).Summarizing our experience and our friends’ experience (they also dealt with many issue at Stone Stew), I do not recommend this place at all.At least, they lost a customer who was willing to spend thousands of dollars at their place in less than two years because of their mismanagement.
The dizi meat was not cook well, it was medium rare and you could taste the blood and uncooked meat.They also have refilled tea on the menu but they charged for refill and when I asked for why there is discrepancies with regard to the menu, they acted weird and rude with no apology they just said that is the old menu which could be okay ( unusual compared to any other middle eastern restaurant expertI have had) but the problem was the way they conveyed the message and responded.Last time there , not recommended!
Fantastic introduction to Persian food, can't wait to explore it further! Will definitely be frequenting this place.

Got the salmon dish and it was delicious but the chicken thigh that my friend ordered was BEYOND JUICY AND TENDER will come back very VERY soon!!

Well I’m really disappointed even if my food actually tasted good!First of all, the ratio between proteins and carbs in the plate is badly put in which you will literally finish your protein in minutes and you can stay with the rice forever! Be more generous please!Second, at any restaurant main entree should include at least a side of soup or some veggies or salad, and the main entree in this place is just a mountain of rice topped with one or two skewers of meet along with a very sad grilled tomato that is taste bad!
We’ve been ordering from downtown san jose location for a while . But the last time we ordered koobideh was disappointing. Im not sure if they have changed the chef or whatever they did they need to reconsider it . Im not going to reorder from this location anymore
