Would you like some meat with your bread?I was raised too not be a follower, clearly no one else was because this place is obviously hyped up and trendy but not worth it. I mean let's be honest and not just follow the trend. The best thing about this place was atmosphere and the sourdough bread otherwise just another empty sandwich. Yummy fluffy sourdough bread with a couple slices of meat, thank God the swiss was sliced thickish. I thought subway was stingy, this place was worse. $11.00 for dry bread and a couple thin slices of meat. This is exclusively sandwiches so they should be nice and fat, full of cold cuts and flavor...NOT! THE DRY BREAD WILL FILL YOU UP, NOT THE DELI MEATS. walk to Togo's up the road, or follow the trend and waste your money here.
A little hole in the wall restaurant. Never seen any marketing for this place. The owner comes into my clinic and told me to try it out. Honestly is a very good sandwich shop. Great for people who love sandwiches!
Unique place, sour dough bread was the star.
Came for lunch on a Monday. Great spot tucked away a bit near downtown. Quick and fantastic customer service. Lots of outdoor space with plenty of art to admire. Great selection of phenomenal sandwiches. The peppered turkey sandwich was perfect. Flavor was on point with condiments accurately proportioned to compliment the meat and bread. This is a cash only establishment.

Great historic landmark, a charming place tucked away in San Jose. The sandwiches are delicious. Will be back.
Lots of rules and could use a good cleaning but the sandwhes are great!
Quirky eatery with the best roast beef sandwiches ever. Cash only.
This place is the cutest and best eatery I’ve ever been to, it’s totally worth coming!
I've been frequenting Sourdough Eatery for many years. I love #3,,Turkey with Cheese. They make their own bread there to die for. I think they make their own meats as well. Most times, the bread is still slightly warm when they make your sandwich. Barbara is a beautiful, wonderful hostess and love to look at her paintings. Every time I see something I haven't seen before.
