Better than boiling crab and no waiting 2 hours for a table. Only downside is the Cajun fries are not as good as BC, but the sweet potato fries more than make up for it.
Best crawfish restaurant in Bay Area!I've been to almost all the popular places in the Bay and found this restaurant the best one. They have fresh crawfish most of the time and the best part is they having 7 different seasonings. I personally like the sj's style and the house special the most! Price is affordable. Definitely worth a try!
*Edit: had to update my review to 1 star. The reason is I was told the crawfish was new and fresh, of course with higher price. Then I order for to go. But what I received was very small and worst kind of crawfish to eat. Those were the kind that you often throw away because they are too small to eat. Felt like I was scammed. Give it a try if you want, but I will not return.
The best seafood and service in town. Price is very affordable. We will come back for our Cajun/creole Cravings very soon.

The crab cakes and scallop dish were incredible! I savored every bite. The staff is kind, attentive and were accommodating when it came to switching tables. My waiter noticed I didn't drink majority of my Blood Mary - because it was too salty, so he brought me another one that was just right. We have to come back to enjoy the food and actually get to see the view during the day!
Decided to come here based on Google reviews for lunch while visiting Pier 39 and the Wharf! The hostess was a little snooty because she was not happy to seat an extra person.. I believe I said 6 and then corrected myself with 7 and she must not have heard but the attitude was definitely not called for. Oh well.. our server was nice for the large party we had. I feel like we sat there for a long time though for just a meal and didn't end up having enough time to explore the Wharf.
Amazing view and amazing food. Right on the harbor with a view of Alcatraz. The service was amazing and everyone loved the fish they ordered.
Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu and how things are prepared. Everything was fresh and delicious. SJ Crawfish is at the top of my list of favorite restaurants
