Good staff and good sushi however rated 3/5 for take out experience. They do not provide non-plastic containers. I called right after placing order and they mentioned they already used plastic containers even though i offered to bring my own. I suggest offering option to bring own containers or use paper like other resteraunts. Hopefully this changes because i liked the sushi.
Our family favorite for 18 years. Ownership has changed hands a couple times but recipes always passed on, and has always been Korean owned. Besides Japanese cuisine, they also have Korean short ribs and spicy chicken as bento options. Fish/sushi is very good. Udon is excellent with tasty broth and full of veggies.Calm vibe. Nice staff, used to be spread thin but that seems to have improved.
If my picky son loves it!!! Then we love it. He is very picky and yelled it’s Amazing.
The sushi was fishy smelling, warm, and the pieces were cut in two inch lengths that made them very difficult to eat. I did not finish my rolls.
Great first time experience. Staff was very friendly and the food was fresh. It's a little expensive, but you can taste the quality in the sushi. The chicken kastu in my donburi bowl was not as crispy as I would have liked, but was still delicious and large portion size. Highly recommend!
I love Sushi and this little place never let's me down. The fish is fresh and the staff is friendly. I've had many meals here and not once did i leave unsatisfied.
We have been at Shima Sushi quite a few times and I really like the Nigiri here. The fish is always very tasty and fresh. And they serve quite generous slices of it. We had several rolls that were great as well. I tried a Bento box for lunch a few times. Teriyaki chicken or salmon are very good. Also the miso soup. It’s our go-to Sushi place here in the neighborhood. Definitely recommend.
Excellent food. Friendly service. Reasonable prices. Some of the best, freshest fish I've had. They are usually very busy, especially with Door Dash orders, so you might have to wait for dine-in or takeout. But worth the wait.
Amazing service, they are SUPER fast. I hope it doesn't get popular.They have some fun rolls, but their standard nigiri is quite amazing.
Pre-pandemic we came here every week and we’ve always loved the staff and the food. We aren’t able to make it there every week these days but when we do it is still great!
