After a large trip exploring the west coast and trying foods from all over - THIS - is the one spot that lingers in my mind as somewhere I would go back to. It was my first Shabu Shabu and it was. Delicious! The meats cut fresh in front of you, amazing broths, the dips are NOT to be underestimated, and the fun variety of vegetables. You can easily split a meat platter for a party of two (add on the veggies) or get your own or go unlimited if super hungry!
Unique: They actually have a proper seaweed (konbu) broth that has no added salt. This is amazing because the salt is the reason why I hate buffets. But this place offers a water broth and enables complete temperature control of their pot. I also strongly prefer the sesame sauce (goma dare) here to even the ones in Mitsuwa. Overall this place has some killer quality at killer prices. My wallet weeps everytime we eat here but I just love the quality of everything they have. My only wish is that their vegetable plate were bigger with more varieties.
One of my favorite places. Been going for many years. Finally was able to go again. If you want a lot of food go with all you can eat, in you want a normal meal and dinner get the normal dinner. The service is always amazing. Parking is safe too, I dont go to some places because of the none safe parking ares.
I missed this Shabu Shabu since pandemic. ?
Best hot pot in the Bay Area. Quality meat, delicious broth and fresh veggies. I love the spices they provide too. Makes such a difference to be able to add minced garlic to my soup.
One of my favorite places in town. Kobe and pork is a great combo in the spicy Miso. Dipping sauces are a huge factor as well. All in all worth a try.
I would give them 5 stars if they have lamb today. But they told me that there was no lamb today. I am a little bit disappointed with this since I am the lamb lover. Besides that, everything was good. The size for medium size is enough for me. Come with the order, you can choose rice or ramen. Ramen is good for me and I also highly recommend you to choose ramen. American Kobe beef is good when Kobe beef lean is kind of tough.
Great place for Japanese style hot pot.
We were here for my niece’s birthday. Service was slow. Good was okay and all you can eat menu is limited to basic items. Overall, there wasn’t much special about the place. Don’t think I’ll be back here any time soon.
I recommend tonkotsu soup base.
