This review is in regards to an Uber Eats placed on Feb 23 around 8pm.I am very dissatisfied with my order in contrast to the first time I tried this place.I ordered the Mama Kathy’s Grilled Chicken Teriyaki Plate and a couple Manapua buns. The chicken was cold, overcooked, hard to chew. I honestly force fed half of the chicken to myself because after a long day at work, I needed to eat something. But after sometime, I was disgusted and just ate the rice and macaroni salad. Then, the buns were also still firm and frozen! The first time I tried this place the buns were warm and soft and delicious.I will not be ordering from this place again. Please do better! For the price of your food, it doesn’t correlate to the quality.PS: Losing hope in finding good food in San Jose! Everything is subpar and expensive around here. It’s a waste of money every time.

I got the Kailua pork with rice - the pork is mad salty, and there’s not enough vegetables or any vegetable pile at the bottom of the bentoFriend A got the katsu chicken bowl - it’s alright, not seasoned enoughFriend B got the Mama’s teriyaki chicken plate - there was not enough chicken to fill the bento for the priceFriend C got the Loco Moco - add the egg, the rice is mediocre, and it’s mad saltyTL;DR not worth for the price

We worked with Bert for our special catering event and he ensured everything was exactly how we wanted. The food came hot and on time. All the food was delicious and seemed very authentic as well. Everyone loved it. Would love to cater from them again.

Tried this place through delivery. Food was still warm when it arrived. I had the kalua pork plate, teriyaki chicken plate, braddah timmy poke appetizer, coconut shrimp, coconut pudding. Everything tasted good. I would probably not order the coconut pudding again, it wasn't what I was expecting because it was more like a jello texture.

Go to spot for Hawaiian food. Tried a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. The small touches of furikake on the rice, kimchee, and the yummy macaroni salad are all appreciated. Can highly recommend:- teriyaki chicken- pork Lau Lau- Kalua Pork- loco moco burrito- loco mocoReally appreciate this spot, and their staff! Exceptional service.

I was already a fan of Pono's in Capitola (where Braddah Timmy relocated from Santa Cruz) -- I tried Pono San Jose, and was happy to find the food is just as good, and so much more convenient for those of us who live on this side of the mountain! Great food!!!

I was heartbroken to see that pono Hawaiian grill was not there. Not sure if it was a pop up or what. Hoping they come to san jose permanently one day.

Just finished my Kahua Pork, Chicken, Mac Salad and Spam Musubi and it was delicious. I will be back often. How about some Saimin in the future! Good work Timmy and crew, deee-licious!
