The custard is delicious! I only experienced the custard in the Burnt Almond Cake. Need to go back to try some of the many other items they make.
Other than the line of 7people before me, which just serves as a testament of how yummy their goodies are. The staff is sweet and the treats are e en better.
The Burnt Almond Cake tasted pretty good! I may have to try it more times, but while I really liked it, I also felt like it kinda just tasted like a Twinkie. Like, that's not bad at all, since I like the taste of Twinkies, but I'm not quite sure if that's enough to really say it's that much better than one. There were plenty of other good pastries here, too, like the Strawberry Ring. I am open to visiting again.
I pre-ordered and pre-paid for a cake. I stood in line outside or an hour and a half before having to leave for work. Still 30+ people ahead of me in line. What was the point of pre-order and pay if I still had to wait hours?

Have you wondered why all those people are standing in line to order? It is because this family bakery is very, very good. It is a neighborhood institution. I have friends who drive from across town to order the burnt almond cake for their special occasion. I once ordered a cake for an office party in Mtn View and everyone was asking me where/how to get this cake. When I told the old timers they were like - oh yes Peter's bakery. My friends new to the area wanted the address/link. The burnt almond is amazing and I grew up in NYC with great bakeries!
Busy, long line! But fast service when you get in. Not to many verity of pastry, maybe 10 or less than 15 kind of pastry and cookies. But very delicious . We tried Eclairs, whipped cream apple turnover, choc choc and lemon crunch, which was one from each kind of available pastry. My favorite was Lemon Crunch. I think it is the only bakery in this neighborhood, and it is good.

Quite impressed with bakery. Shocked by the huge number of cakes baked and ready to be sold. Also amazed by the selection of pastries available behind the shelf for ordering.Had pre-ordered a cake online for morning pick up. Got there at designated pick up time and some how they couldn't find the order. They were super professional and quickly checked if the baker was still available to quickly get me one. (Mine was a burnt almond cake with a carrot cake filling, so it wasn't just the regular burnt almond cake that they could give me on the shelf.). After the employee told me that and apologized for the inconvenience, they were able to give me a cake within 5 min. Kinda shocked how professional and fast they were about a slightly messed up order. Super impressed.Of course, the cake was delicious. Pricing was very good, considering most other cake places charge like $45+ for a similar size cake. Would definitely come again for their cakes!
