Omg!! This is such a hidden gem. Tucked away in downtown san jose, what a wonderful place to grab some breakfast or lunch. Absolutely loved the vibe and no doubt about the pastries! So crunchy and creamy at the same time, perfectly sweet and so many flavors!

Delicious Pastel de Nata aka Portugese Egg Tarts! These are so flakey and crispy! The CRUNCH was very audible. ASMR worthy crunchiness right here. I recommend the Passionfruit one! It wasn't sour at all, and had a very subtle passionfruit flavor to it.The original is also very good, but it does have a slight coconut flavor to it. Not as eggy as I expected it to be. A more prominent custard flavor. My boyfriend also tried the Malasadas and enjoyed it. They are GIANT-sized and he said the Hazelnut Chocolate one tasted like a Ferrero Rocher. The location is in a sketchy area of Downtown San Jose, so don't expect a ton of accessible parking. Good luck searching for the metered parking spots. It is right next to a bus stop though!

Never been to Lisboa, Portugal. But, I have been told many times the pastel de nata there are to die for! (Pastéis de Belém). Adega is the best that I've tasted stateside and in San Jose. Well worth the close to 45 minute drive (from SF) and gasoline ⛽️ used to get a bite of this airy, crunchy gooey morsel of goodness!I've tried it at many places and this is by far the best. Not too sweet, very crunchy and flaky crust. Warm and soft middle. It can be heated up again in a toaster oven if you can't finish it and want it again! If the ones in Portugal are so much better than this, I'm going to be gaining pounds if I ever get to visit and be in lots of trouble.

Egg tarts met my high expectations !The almond latte however, left much to be desired. Come here for the egg tart, go elsewhere for coffee.

Awesome egg custard treats but little on the e pensive side.I would give 1 more star if only on the egg custard. We also tried their donut and croissants (chocolate & almond). Donut was ok but the croissants were little dry in the inside and out side was not as crisppy as I like it.Overall, will go back for the egg custards but not for anything else.

After getting a taste of this bakery at ADEGA last night, we had to come and try out other pastries here.We got the steak sandwich which was great - generous piece of steak. We also tried the cod fish cake, the blueberry pastel de nata, and the coconut brioche. The coconut brioche was ok, not the best we've ever had but everything else was amazing!Parking can be a little tricky but there's plenty of indoor seating. Service is very friendly.

Came on a Tuesday for a lunch. Was not busy, friendly and quick service. The tuna melt crossaint was fabulous (warm and crispy) and the blueberry pastry was great. Clean establishment and easy to access.

The almond croissant is to die for. It’s crispy with its sweet nuttiness of the butter. I love it. But they are usually sold out by afternoon.

I love the pasteis de nata! It’s fresh, still little warm when I got them and with crispy layers outside.

Fabulous meal! Great service!
