Had a great meal with excellent service!
Ozumo has become one of our favorite restaurants for all occasions: a date night out for two, birthday dinners, a place to take out of town guests. The reason is it's special diet friendly (I have Celiac and we have two lactose intolerants in the fam), it's beautiful and Santana Row is gorgeous, the bar always makes excellent drinks, the food is exceptional and every single staff person I have ever interacted with (I'm gonna guess 30 so far?) has been ONE OF THE KINDEST AND MOST HELPFUL PEOPLE EVER. And they saved us after the absolutely worst experiences I've ever had at Left Bank! Actually, I went to Left Bank 20 years ago and swore I'd never return and friends talked me into giving it another shot and we left after the hostess and manager were absolute ogres to our party of 25 people! Ozumo saved the day and ALMOST made me forget how ugly the Left Bank staff are. (8 weeks later and I am still too angry to leave a review but I will) ENOUGH ABOUT STUPID LEFT BANK! OZUMO ROCKS IN EVERY WAY A RESTAURANT CAN AND THEY ALWAYS DELIVER NIGHT A SPECIAL NIGHT OUT! WE LOVE THEM!!!!!!
My daughter is a chef and she totally approved everything this Japanese restaurant served! Everything was delicious and was so pretty! ‘Would 100% recommend this restaurant to my family and friends!
I had an extremely disappointing experience, I had a server that was super impatient and did not seem very happy to be helping us. We How do reservation and still had to wait 20 minutes and when I approached them they said they were sorry they forgot about us. Iâve had so many good experiences here Iâm not sure why this one was really poor and for my anniversary. I donât think Iâll be coming back here ever
Our server was likely high on something. She was slurring her words...very strange. The restrooms were dirty and ot was hot in there, no air circulation. The poor bartender was so backed up! It took about 20 minutes to get our drinks. Aside from that, the food was great!
Excellent sushi / dinner. Delicious and arrived quickly. Top quality service. Outside seating is average but that was our choice. We were offered a very nice table inside but chose to be outside. Will return in the future.
As usual, the food is exceptional. However, on this visit, the ladies room was a horrible, unsanitary mess. Every single toilet was filled to overflowing with toilet tissue. Unusuable. There was no soap in the dispensers, making me wonder exactly how sanitary were the food worker's hands? And there were those lame, cheap air dryers that (if working) simply spread bacteria laden air around. But fortunately or unfortunately they were not working. So actually, the ladies' room should've been marked out of commission, since obviously no one was restocking or even monitoring. Finally, the so-called "patio" was really just a dark room with one wall open to the sidewalk. The actual patio, where we wanted to eat, was abandoned. Now, we would consider takeout, except that last time we called for takeout they failed to give us any wasabi! I give up, Ozumo. At least til you get your act together. Clean your rest rooms! Make sure they have soap! And for god's sake, put a disposable towel dispenser in.
Took extremely long to have order taken, drinks included.
Surprised me they were out of bottled water and sodas. Food is great but service is questionable - and for the price, they should be top notch.
