I once rated this 5 star. Changed it to 1 and if I could give it 0 I would.Flat soda, hard rice, undercooked chicken, macaroni so soggy you'd think it was potato salad.Go to Ono near Auto Mall Parkway in Fremont then come get some food here. You wouldnt even think it was the same chain. But seriously wth happened to this location, new ownershit?
Order 2 Chicken Katsu to go from this place. Picked up the food got home and found out there wasn't any sauces for Chicken katsu in the bag. Not spending 20 mins drive going back for the sauces. Such a big dissapointment for poor preparation! Lesson learned! Check the bag for everything before leaving!
Decided to try this place out a few days ago. My overall thoughts are that it was decent. It was very standard “Hawaiian” food. I ordered a chicken katsu and kalua pork combo, which came with a side of crab rangoon. The combo had some rice as well. My food took quite awhile to be prepared; I sat there watching people who had ordered ahead of me get their food. An employee came up to me to ask me my order number and told me it took longer to cook what I ordered. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. Either way, I was in no rush so it didn’t really matter. As for the food itself, I was extremely unimpressed with the portion sizes of the meat, especially the chicken katsu. There were probably 3 or 4 small pieces of chicken in the entire meal. There was more kalua pork, but the rest was just unseasoned rice. The crab rangoon was decent but also seemed to be quite a small serving. As for the taste of the meat, it was decent. I have had better at L&L. I will probably return to Ono but may order something different.
The Doordash/Grubhub prices are $2.50-3.00 more than ordering directly in store. The food is okay, didn't like the mini lettuce/veggie layer under the meats. Less meats & scoops of rice/mac than other spots.
The fish is always uncooked in the middle. I’ve mentioned this on a few occasions yet nothing has changed. So I’m no longer patronizing this location.
First time. Had the Island Fire Chicken and Chicken Katsu. Was yummy... exceeded my expectations.
Great selection of Hawaiin food! Definitely coming back here!
Good experience, fast service and dinning was clean. Barbecue was delicious with good portions of vegetable and rice. Meat was a bit cold and fountain was broken. Also one restroom was out of service and other one not so clean. But good mix of BBQ. And calm and comfortable atmosphere.
The food is good. I prefer them over Hawaiian BBQ. Service is decent, short wait because they cook the meat after your order it.
The food is so good, a little pricey but one order can feed 2 people. Great.
