I have no idea why this roll name "lobster roll" since it only have the lobster shell and without any lobster meat in it. And the lobster shell looks like it have been picked up from a trash can. There were some strange black things on its tail. I was thinking that maybe the lobster meat is under the scallops or the sushi rice. However, I still didn't find any lobster meat in this plate. The scallops were not tasted good either because there were no seasoning on it. Only a small part of the scallops with sauce on top. Why? I really don't get it. Why you put a lobster shell on top of the sushi rice? Just pretend this is a lobster roll?
Loved the chicken udon here. This is a nice small Japanese restaurant. Make sure you arrive early if you want a dinner even on a weekday.Plus, they have a "Star Wars" menu, and -- even better -- comic characters bobbleheads! That alone makes this restaurant even more awesome.
Great place to stop in and grab a bento Box in old Japan town in San Jose. We drive all the way from Sacramento just to go there. Just get the 2 item Box as the 3 item is just too big. Too much food. They also have a great side patio to sit out in that allowed my well trained dog. service was great. Half in styrofoam boxes, 1/2 in a bento box.
Found this little gem over the weekend. The food was wonderful. Lunchtime bento box was awesome and was reasonably priced. I should have taken a picture of the food but I was distracted by the Star Wars decor (which I also loved).
Tasty but sushi is made loosely. It falls apart at the touch. Asian pop models smile provocatively from 2 TV screens. The wait ladies are prompt to take your order then disappear and have to be flagged down. The cook had his mask down and was singing and talking loudly over the food. Asked him to wear his mask and he put it on. Won't be back.
The worst sushi I have ever had! The rice of the rolls is cold. I’m not sure is it because I came right after they open and they get the rice from the fridge from yesterday or not, but even the rice in the nigiri is super cold, not even warm. Toro was chewy and the cut is poor. Idk whether it’s because the knife is dull or they cut the wrong part of the fish. The staff asked me whether I wanted another fish and I said no because the quality of the fish is just not good! I won’t come back to this place. Expensive and not worth it!
Tasty sushi. Reasonable prices for sushi. Can dine in or outside.
This isn't as great as we thought. The food tasted just like any Hole in the Wall Japanese fast food. Not impressed at all. The meats tasted bland and needed to sauced for me in order for me to eat them. The Sushi orders are the only ones we enjoyed.
The rolls here were sloppy and unsatisfying. So poorly created, they were falling apart on the plate. The fish on top of the rolls were uneven and chopped blindly, same with the garnish. One of the rolls we ordered, the Hawaiian, was swimming in the sauce. The rolls did not taste fresh either. For a $$, and given how limited the menu selection is, this place is very disappointing. As much as I want to support a small business, I can't recommend this place sadly.
They sit you, give you the menu, but then you have to stand to go back inside to the cashier to order and pay before you eat. No wondering why… fish had tons of skin in the middle of the roll, chicken was raw… Oh, and you have to clean the table before and after you use it, there’s a sign. Not worth at all. Can’t believe these 4 stars rating.
