After spending a couple hours in Santa Clara, my sweet tooth got the best of me. I haven't been in San Jose in a hot minute. So I decided to try my luck & see what sweet spots were open late during the pandemic.I had heard a lot of buzz about Nox Cookie Bar and was excited to try the place out. I had order a box of dozen assorted cookies and was eager to taste them all. The cashier seemed unamused about his shift & was not as talkative as usual (at least that's what I would expect -then again, thank you corona). When I was given my order, I could smell the sweet brown sugar, chocolate chips and vanilla extract through the box. As you can imagine, my mouth began to water.I promptly returned to my car, put my seatbelt on (safety first), and opened the box. I could not decide which cookie I wanted to have first. I settled for the sugar cookie. I was quickly disappointed & turned off to the rest of the flavors. I spent the next hour & a half drive home contemplating if I had made a huge mistake. When I got home, I decided to try another flavor. I went for the one with m&m's on it. I popped it in the toaster oven to see if that would help my tastebuds & once again, it fell short. I knew the only way to save this experience was to add vanilla ice cream to the now "fresh out the oven" cookie. Did it help? Somewhat.Would I stop by here again & grab some cookies? Maybe. I'd definitely come earlier in the day when the cookies are fresh. But if I'm desperate to have my sweet tooth craved next time, I'll pass.
I like this place as a new option to ice cream and cookies in San Jose. Cookies are amazing delicious, chewy. The chocolate one is the best cookie I have ever had. Ice cream it’s not good. Lack of flavor. If you combine the cookie with the ice cream they go good, but just the ice cream nope.
I had Nox cater for an outdoor event for 120 guests. The cookies were delivered fresh & warm and were such a hit with the guests, especially the chocolate chip sea salt flavor. 100% would cater from Nox again.
Cheesecake poppers 5/5Small cookies 3/5Forget the cookies. Get the cheesecake poppers. They are divine. So much flavor. Cookies were average. They weren’t warm and I didn’t expect them to be. They were very dry and firm. Not the slightest bit chewy. I suppose some people like overcooked cookies, but not me. Worth trying the full size cookies. It’s possible those might be more soft.
I'm not really a fan of cookies but this place is worth a check. I liked the chocolate chip cookie over the quattro.
Cookies were ok. Not warm or fresh. Ms. Athena please do better with customer service. Order was written down and she still chose what she wanted to put.
First time and last time coming here. We did not feel welcomed or excited upon entering. Customer service is poor. We felt judged and after thanking the cashier, they ignored us. In regards to the ice cream and cookies, it is average.
We were very disappointed:* hard chocolate chip cookie (made the Nox'which impossible to bite without the icecream spilling out.)* sugar sugar cookie was okay (nothing special)* The chocolate cookie was bleh and the texture soft, but not chewy. Just kind of... sad.* The icecream was incredible. Not worth it.
I was having the most intense chocolate pregnancy cravings today, the beautiful sweet angel of a girl with curly two different colored hair gave me the best experience one can ask for at a cookie store. Please pay her 100 an hour, thank u
We ordered brownie, lemon tart and cheesepops. All 3 were amazing! Lemon tart was the best! Definitely recommend this place!
