Found this spot after going to SJ Made’s Friend Fest. The dishes look exactly like their photos and the portions are huge! The stand out for me (that I came back for this past weekend) is the Banana Flower Salad. Deliciousssss. It is tangy with red onion slivers, crunchy clear seaweed noodle pieces, cilantro, and other works. They also have a couple tables outside and since it’s on the end of the block of stores, you’re right by the sidewalk, separated by a fence. It’s nice!
Good food good quality and very good service
The food was decent but not particularly outstanding. The soup flavor, texture, and appearance for the bún mắm could be made more aromatic and colorful. The nem cuốn was a little small in size, so there was not much freshness to enjoy out of the vegetables inside the rolls. The cơm bò lúc lắc was good though unremarkable. I did enjoy the battered fries though.
First time having vegan Vietnamese food. Decent service but delicious food
Tried this place today and everything was great. They are also vegan so that's amazing! Everything tasted great, the autumn spring rolls were awesome. My only complaint would be that pretty much everyone except one dude in the store don't speak English and it was really hard to place an order on the phone. Overall great experience, will come back again..
Loved the popcorn chicken and bitter gourd soup. Simple soulful food.
My current favorite Vietnamese vegan restaurant. Ever since my Buddhist best friend introduced me to this vegetarian restaurant, I've been hook. I'm yet a strict/full time vegetarian/vegan yet some week, I opt for more vegetarian food than animal protein. I loved everything we have tried so far. Our repertoire at the restaurant normally includes less or more depending how big is my party but usually includes:Appetizers:1. Banana blossom salad2. Salt & pepper oyster mushroom (deep fried)3. Rice rolls (we'll call the type of rolls depending on the weather or you can call the combo, mixed rolls so you can try all the variety they offer).4. Nem nuong aka veggie pork spring rollFavorite main entree:I'm going to help you guy with the phonetic pronunciation here for non viet, LOL.1. Canh Bun (kanh boon- # 24 this is a tomato based soup broth and use the thick rice noodle, the same rice noodle with Bun Hue. They do come with the tiny cup of the pungent fermented tofu paste, a mock version of the shrimp paste of the non vegetarian version of this noodle soup. That tiny cup totally elevated the taste of the noodle soup and made it so close to the animal protein version.2. Mi Quang (mee kwang - comes with peanut. A turmeric thick flat noodle soup, very close to the original noodle I remembered having in my childhood in Da Nang province when I was little. Note that this noodle soup style is a little on the dry side, a lot less soup than your average noodle soup as a heads up.Remaining items on the menu is good, especially the hot pot but just like everything else, I tend to call my favorites whenever I'm there.Overall, if you're a plant based diner, New Hoa Dang Vegetarian Restaurant is worthy of adding to your list of vegetarian restaurants. If you never had Vietnamese food/cuisine before, then this is the perfect restaurant to explore our cuisine. They have plenty of che desserts on the menu as well.Namste!
Big menus to choose from and most of the dishes are delicious less sweet these days. I highly recommend this vegetarian restaurant.
Probably the best Vegan Vietnamese restaurant. I know they say they’re vegetarian, but they don’t even use real egg in their meals so i’m pretty sure it’s vegan. 10/10 recommend. Everything is extremely flavorful!
Food are delicious, took my friend here (her first time) and she loves loves this place!
