Mingle's MangoThe Bay Area's dumpling scene has a way to go but as locals find relief from the lines (and elevated prices) at Din Tai Fung, a few competitors have sprung upMany of the strongest contenders are in the East Bay, specifically Fremont, and Mingle's Mango is no differentLike the interesting name, Mingle's Mango is notable for having a second San Jose outpost that is known for its barren decor in contrast to their themed Fremont spotIn all honestly, the strip mall spot appeared abandoned and the sign even looks a bit like graffitiBut inside, there is table seating although all items are served with paper plates and utensils like a popup or food courtThe food is a highlight with creative combinations of soupy dumplings with slightly thicker skin that combine quality ingredients with great flavorI'd skip the Wagyu beef noodles next time, but I look forward to trying all their dumpling varieties at either this hole in the wall spot or the Fremont locationIt's not NYC Joe's Shanghai style (skin not thin enough), but for the Bay Area, it's a nice alternative to our only location of the smaller size DTF XLBKurobuta Pork XLB (2pc) $3.99 ~ Steamed Handmade Berkshire Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings served with Sake white vinegar / NewBee XLB(2pc) $5.99 ~ Steamed handmade kurobuta pork soup dumplings with creamy garlic crawfish served with lemon / California Wagyu Beef Noodle Soup $20.99 ~ Homemade noodle in Non-MSG broth with half pound Cailfornia Wagyu Beef and bok choy, half crispy egg, cilantros, and green onionMingle's Mango (San Jose, CA)Mingle's Mango accepts credit cards including AmEx and is indoor dining only.

The XLB, treasure box are very authentic and owns classical flavors. However the Szechuan noodle is too salty.

gosh, i hate to give this place three stars but it just missed the mark in several different ways. i will say that i don’t generally care if a place is shiny clean but it was just a bit neglected in many places. the staff was friendly though but beyond bringing water out just let you order with the QR code and left you to figure it out. i ordered some of my go to dishes and when they came out i was somewhat surprised they arrived in to go containers and the dumplings on a paper plate. the taste of everything was good but not great as the flavor was just not entirely exciting.

Their soup dumplings is good. I tried their frieza, the best value in bay!

First of all the place stinks, and i dont know what they served, the noodles were so hard, chicken wings were soaked in oil and no flavor in it, and then the pork and shrimp dumpling had uncooked shrimps inside, a slimy thing came out after the first bite. I requested for a refund but they needed me to bring the food to get the refund. Bad food, and worse customer service. After they replied ---- I clearly remember i was late by maximum 45 min, nothing gets spoiled within 1hr, so stop using this as a cover. And yes you said to bring the food for the refund, but that was not possible since i threw the food, this is a lesson for me, i now need to keep the bad food as a proof. Due to these reasons i said to keep the refund. No one wants free food, this is just your defense since you cannot back your bad food. No matter what the place really stinks, and I am never gonna order from this place again. If I wanted free food I wouldn't have posted this review, this is to make everyone aware of your food. And the type of reply you gave again shows how you treat your customer.

the best dumplings ever!!!

I would recommend them.

I constantly stop by getting some food in this spot. I enjoy the speedy service and well made food. Never disappointing.

I would not recommend this place at all, we were in line waiting to order our food with a few other people, and we were ignored. We banged on the door and the cook ignored everyone. We called and we saw them look at us and the phone and ignored it. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. I would recommend going to Ocean Delight Seafood restaurant hands downtown the best Chinese food in San Jose.

Amazing experiences !! Highly recommended
