Went for the first time. Not your normal Pho place. The restaurant is set at a commercial area. Never had this kind of noodles! I had a deep fried egg rolls and pork noodle. They came I was surprised ! It was dry pork and dry shrimps. The pork was a little chewy, they use flat rice noodle, it has a little soup with it. I was also surprised how tasty it was. I found out this kind of style noodle was from the middle regent of Vietnam. They lady who served me didn’t speak English well but very nice. Good meal after all!
The food is so fresh and very tasty. Service is great also and this place is so close to the San Jose airport. The entire place is super clean and lots of parking.
I have just came back after a long time because of the pandemic. Very clean and beautiful after being rejuvenated. The food still is good as before, just only thing missing was minced garlic which was usually come with a bowl of Mi Quang. I love it because it made the bowl so flavorful.
Coming to this place was the right choice. They are kinda a secluded hidden gem that is just out in a lot.Every dish we had was amazing. The Vietnamese Fennel Cake. Bahn Beu was so large unlike other traditional places so it was worth the price that you are paying for.As for myself I got the Vietnamese Udon and I am blown away by the taste of this soup. I've been trying to find a replacement for similar soups that I had back home in Asia (bangkok) when it comes to seafood soup. This was like one of those pricy quality soup full of umami that you can find in expensive Chinese restaurant where they would serve it with fish maw or like shark fin. Yea this taste exactly like that minus the shark fin or like sea cucumber. Having a taste of this soup brings back memories as if I am transported back home. I would highly recommend someone who haven't tried out a good traditional seafood soup to give this a try. Also they don't go cheap with the crab meat since it's so plenty and it really is a bang for your buck.My friend got the dry noodles Cao Lau. It taste like dry thai boat noodles and the flavor is just so elevated even for dry noodles.After a few bites we know that we had to get some dishes to go so we decided to get an order of the turmeric noodles. The turmeric noodles was okay though maybe its because we had it to go.Would be coming back here for sure!!
AMAZING!!! We got the turmeric noodles with chicken. It was the most flavorful version of this dish I could have possibly imagined. Flavors were both fresh and complex, the quality one might expect from a really fancy restaurant. It came with a large plate of fresh noodles and vegetables, and a bowl of broth/chicken. The broth was out of this world tasty. I can't wait to go again.
The food here is delicious and unique. It's hard to find a central Vietnam cuisine even in the bay area and this place does not disappoint. I love their banh beo, all versions of mi quang and even the store aesthetic and music. If you look at the decor, you'd realize that many items are actually brought over FROM Vietnam. For example their prized (but we'll used and cracked) dishware for the banh beo is probably from Vietnam. You won't find those here. Their customer service is impeccable. Apparently they used the wrong portions for my Thai tea and automatically didn't charge me when we got to the register. Unfortunately I was unable to tip because I paid w card. Do not let the emptiness of this store fool you, great place should be packed with customers. I highly recommended to my entire Vietnamese family.
This is my absolutely favorite pho restaurant in the Bay Area. I work close by and bring my colleagues here too. One of my colleagues is as obsessed with this place as I am. The broth for their vegetarian pho is so flavorful! I always order the same thing and go about once a week in winter so, the ladies know me well there. The restaurant feels so cozy and inviting after the renovations, I love it even more!
Big fan of their mi quang ga!! Been here a few times, and I always order this dish. Tried the nem nuong cuon this time, and it was pretty good. Loved the sauce.
