This spot is always on point! I love the staff, love the service and I can never decide if I like the drinks or the food better! Then I remember, why choose?!? Every dish I have ever ordered here has been delicious and authentic! I’ve been coming here since I relocated to the area august of 2021 and I feel like I’ve known them forever! Because it’s a family owned and operated business, I really feel like a member of the familia! I’d recommend this to anyone, and I’ve personally brought friends, coworkers and family here to enjoy! Cadillac Margarita and chips and salsa every single time I come, the food is always different and I’d recommend everything on the menu! There is a juke box to set the vibe and 3 TVs to watch sports are a great addition to the restaurant! You won’t be disappointed! Also the prices are very reasonable I usually order 3 Cadillacs, 2 entrees for myself, and an horchata, hamburger with rice and beans for my son and we never pay more than $60 before tax and tip.. but don’t take my word for it, come and try for yourselves and tell them Angie sent you ??
I am sad to report the food and service were was not good. The food did not taste good. The rice was old and stale. I ordered a chile Relleno with rice and beans and a side totaling $22.00. Initially, the waitress asked me what kind of tortillas I wanted. She never brought the tortillas. I tried to get her attention, and it looked like the bartender/owner told me if I wished to tortillas, I had to order them separately, and he was insulting. I had asked him nicely. There was only one waitress in the whole place, and she only came by once. I was not impressed. I always give restaurants a second chance maybe they just had an off day?
I travel a lot and experience some different varieties of Mexican food. The dining experience at Los Garcias is truly as authentic as I have had in my 67 years of eating growing up near East L.A. and Santa Ana Ca. I was pleased to experience the taste of the past (Non Fusion, Calorie cutting and general cost cutting cooking). I had the the Carnitas plate : the meat was so tender , the beans and the sauce a flavor not experienced in decades.

Delicious enchiladas! Friendly staff. Hidden gem in the city.Edit: Went back with boyfriend who is Mexican and I am black. We were stared down the whole time by some of the staff and patrons. Felt like a totally different restaurant from the first experience. We won’t be back because it felt like we were purposely made uncomfortable.
