We were looking forward to trying their hotpot options. However the service is very slow, considering that they just bring out the raw ingredients to the table for the customers to cook. It took longer just to get the pot out to the table than at other restaurants which will bring out the cooked soup for you. It didn't make sense. The lady server was abrupt and slightly rude. I wouldn't be a repeat customer for sure.
Lau Hai San has a mom and pop restaurant ambience. I'm not sure if it is trying to be a florist or a restaurant. The theme is a little confusing. Food is decent. Not sure what the hype was all about from the you tube influencers. I tried the Thai seafood hot pot and the shrimp cup cake. Supposedly it is for 2 persons but I alone ate it all so it is definitely not a value thing. My bill came out to be over $50. No wow moment.

Came in on a Saturday after 12PM, not particularly busy and service was quite fast.Their specialty seems to be the spicy Thai seafood. It's not quite what you'd expect of Thai flavors as there's definitely Vietnamese influences in the spices.Food was good, but I have to emphasize that if you're a group of two adult men, split a large. The medium is just enough food if you order a side of protein, but you're gonna have to fill on soup (delicious, but not filling) at the end.

We always order the spicy Thai seafood hotpot and we love it. Extra fish balls with roe and extra egg noodles. They were also really good at refilling our drinks. Great place.
Typical hot pot is good for 2-3 people.
Good food good people, recommend the beef dish. Lots of shellfish on the menu, snails too.
What a great find. Went here completely by chance. It didn't look like much from the outside since there was construction going on next door. We had the meat appetizer and the meat hotpot (although seafood seems to be the specialty). It all was prepared well, generous portions and amazing taste. Friendly wait staff too! Highly recommended.
