I have never written a one star review before but I feel strongly that this is warranted. My wife, who is a recent immigrant, and I went to this bar on a Friday night expecting to get in no problem. She has her learners permit ID from the state of Washington.Not only did the bouncer say the ID was fake he went on to berate us for having a fake ID and refused to give it back. Cops came and ran the number on her ID and it checks out, so maybe their system is the issue. Either way, I think it would be illegal to withhold our property (her learners permit) without our permission.Furthermore, in a community where there is a diverse mix of natives and recent immigrants, I find it extremely off-putting that this guy didn’t even bother to review our ADDITIONAL PROOF that we provided to him to simply get her learners permit back. We showed her passport and visa. Why would we attempt to enter a place with a fake ID when we have piles of documentation that’s required for recent immigrants anyways.Either way, sorry for the long rant, but I would stay away from this place, straight up whack and has no respect for personal property. If you have a recent experience that’s similar, know that it’s against the law to withhold your property… don’t let this guys do this, that’s whack…Better yet don’t go at all, plenty of places in dtsj
If I can rate 0 star, I won't hesitate to do it. Really disappointed with the man last night. He claimed that I was using a fake ID and refused to give it back to me even though we showed him the pastport and visa. Cops came and told that the card number on my ID worked. I'm a new immigrant on a k1 visa, and I live in Washington and maybe my learners permit wasn't used when I arrived in California, I'm not sure. Also don't understand why. But the way he treated me like I was a criminal. His job is to check the ID and if for some reason it's not valid, he just won't let us in, why keep my ID, and even if we provide other ID proof still refused.If you are from another state or are a new immigrant, it is better not to go to this bar, to avoid getting in trouble or not being respected.
Had a good time until my friend was pushed into a bouncer by someone and was kicked out for something that wasn’t even his fault. We were a big group hanging out and having fun like everyone else and our friend was called out for dancing basically lol it’s ridiculous. The bouncer almost fought a few of my friends when they tried explaining what happened—and I get it, they have to deal with drunk people a lot—but just think it was handled super poorly and rude.
we went there to celebrate my birthday. we got there during the happy hour which includes bottle service. we got a bottle... when we asked for a 2nd bottle, they kept telling us they were sold out.. How are you going to be sold out of bottles on a Friday night at 8pm !!! Clearly they just didn't want to sell us a 2nd bottle on happy hour prices (50% off).. they didn't have to lie tho. maybe include a 1 bottle limit on your menu so you don't have to lie to guest.. someone must have gone to get bottles because as soon as the happy hour was over, all the bottles magically appeared. it's a cute little bar. don't think I'll come back tho.
Never enjoyed this place. I came back tonight and had an even worse experience.
Great food.. great staff… great drinks! If you want a great feel and a good time you gotta go to Lab!
Place to be. Music gets you dancing. Drinks are good. If you are more of an outdoor person the bottle service area outside is perfect(i recommend having a reservation or the chances of you getting a table are slim to none) fyi.

Staffs are very welcoming and attentive.
I really like the music. The staff is friendly. The food presentation is spot on.
