The whole experience and so close to home. We came across this little gem when we moved into the area and it is 5 minutes away! it is now one of our favorites. The food is excellent, the service is great and the Roy always recommends the best wine. This is a must try and very close to top golf in alviso. They also have live music on Fridays and Saturdays ? the octopus is amazing ?
The mushrooms were all right, as were the sliders. I enjoyed both. Service was friendly (slow, but maybe they were short staffed). The paella was quite bad in both taste and texture (*awful* clams), and extremely expensive for the trouble. Disappointing.
Went to dinner yesterday and had a fantastic time. The menu and the tapas were so fantastic we didn’t even get to try the paellas. Also the sax duo was great to accompany our delightful dinner. Great job, Montserrat Roselló! Will definitely go back.
This place is over rated for sure. All of us had upset stomach the next day.We came here because of the rating but the food is disappointing. It’s probably good for office lunch since it’s right across from Samsung office building but if you want to have a nice dinner with good food, would not recommend. We ordered classic paella for two people. The portion was small and the rice was undercooked. It felt like an after-thought dish. For the NY steak tapa, we ordered medium but it came with well-done and the steak was very ordinary.Other than that, outdoor seating service was not good at all. We were neglected many times (from ordering to getting checks). Our order was missed and nobody checked on us for a long time until we had to go inside to ask for check.
The best Spanish restaurant of the bay!
A local joule with great food and nice jazz duet in the weekend. Also unforgettable service make it a definite come back again!
All the food was good, but the octopus was by far the best thing.
Worst overpriced Spanish food, terrible customer service. As far as food concerned the seafood paella was a pan of so salty half cooked rice and few prawn put on top of it and very expensive. Why so much salt that make it not edible ??Tapas ? If anyone had ever proper Spanish food in Spain or in Europe would give Zero rate to these food served as Catalan food.Customer service, they don’t care, we booked but when showed up they didn’t care. We had a 2 years old and asked for high chair, they said they don’t have high chair. Though at the time of booking we mentioned if children are ok to come.
Overall not great and when you factor in the price tag it's rather bad.The service was a lot more reminiscent of an over worked Red Robin. Not awful but not really good either. My wife and I split a paella and my parents got other things. We got olive and iberico appetizers, which arrived first. A few minutes later my dad's entree arrived. About the time he was half way through, our paella arrived. Usually the paella being late isn't noteworthy because it usually take a while, but a good twenty minutes after that my mom's entree arrived. So at this point, we've eaten in three separate waves over about 40 minutes.Overall not ideal. But how was the food? Also not great. The appetizers were salty. The paella was salty and the calamari very overcooked. My mom's twenty minute shrimp was apparently very bland but also, you guessed it, salty. My dad's meal was unremarkable. I mean that literally because I asked and he did not respond. The price for all of this was considerable. Which is fine, we knew the menu prices going in, but for what we got it was not at all worth it.Also side note: this is one of those places that adds a gratuity to the check so be careful about over tipping.
Best tapas in the South Bay! It’s one of my favorite restaurants.
