It can be explained as mixed ramen bowl without soup. I tried it one time at Solvang but not so impressed until I tried this. If you can’t stand garlic and onions, it’s a little bit disappointed because it has a lot of garlic and onions. Well, you have options for less, midi or more garlic and onions anyway. One thing I don’t like at most of reman shops is the noodles is very salty, but this is not, it’s smooth and chewy. The sauces going with this is vinegar, perfect sweet and sour to mix with the noodles. You can pour little by little until it reaches your taste. I poured a whole cup into it so it a little bit sour but still very good.

Dry ramen noodle. I would say this place is just okay. Nothing special about the Ramen and their drinks are way too sweet. Even the recommendations to make it 50% sweetness. Eating ramen without any broth just makes you want the broth even more. They should offer people the ability to add broth. It's a hard pass for me to go back here again.

I like the Peach Bum fruit tee, but the noodles are really just food truck quality. They come in plastic bowls with single use utensils. The sauce is very thick and strong, which taste good for the first few bites, but too much for the entire meal. I couldn’t finish mine.

First time I’ve ever had brothless Ramen was from this place and now I’m hooked. I probably come here at least once a week since it’s nearby to get my noodle and milk tea fix for the week. Both the food and the drinks are A+ so high recommendation from me! ??

Excellent experience everytime. Food is fantastic. My family can't stop mouth watering when we travel to San Jose as our first stop to Kensho Social. My favorite main dish is the OG special. The drinks are quench your thirst cooling with variety of flavored options. Side note - they have this Beef jerky that is like candy which is so addicting to the point my wife and I have to buy separate bags. Regular flavored jerky for her including the kids and spicy jerky for me. Love the customer service attention when we get served every visit. I have a lot of great things to say. But I probably said too much.

Came here for Japanese ramen and was incredibly let down!!! They serve mandarin style? But doesn’t let you know that, so I got a bowl of noodles with no broth. PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS BROTH-LESS SOUP/RAMEN.

Amazing noodle and rice dishes, and great tea and coffee to wash it down with. The food and drinks are always delicious and consistent, and if you're in the know, you can get the best jerky as well. It's become a favorite spot for my friends and I.

OG Mazemen here is to die for. Also one of the few restaurants that offers Atlas Monroe vegan fried chicken as a protein option.

I have only been here once, but it was the best service that I have received! They are very friendly as well! I have never tried broth less ramen. It was an amazing experience to try! Different variety of ramen, even vegan options! Drinks also delicious, different types to choose from! Would come again when I come out to the bay with family and friends!

The first and only spot you can get Mazemen ramen, otherwise known as "broth-less ramen", in the Bay Area! I'm so glad this place opened up because it's such a unique (and yummy) concept!Mazemen is a delicious Japanese ramen with no broth. Instead, you have thick noodles topped with a variety of garnishes such as meat, egg, scallions, etc. It's served with flavorful sauce on the bottom and is meant to be mixed all together, almost like a bibimbap. At Kensho Social, the mazemen is served with complimentary rice, seasoned vinegar, and spice. You mix the noodles, adjust seasoning with vinegar and spice, and eat! Once you're done with the noodles, you can add the rice afterwards for another meal + to soak in the flavor. It's actually a lot of food.WHAT I ORDERED:1. OG mazamen ($13.95): served with ground pork, poached egg, seaweed, crispy shallot, and garlic. You can choose your garlic level and I love garlic so I obviously chose "heavy". This was my favorite mazemen! Very savory + rich in umami. It kind of reminds me of mee goreng.2. Tan Tan Mazemen ($15.95): this one wasn't my favorite but still tasted very good. It's vinegar-y and sweet. I tasted some sesame paste that makes it creamy as well.Service was amazing. You order at the front and find a seat inside or outside. The owner came up to us and asked us if we've ever tried Mazemen before and explained the whole concept + his vision. It was amazing to see the passion translate into the food.TLDR: Innovative concept and the only one in the Bay Area. It's worth trying at least once since the food is reasonably priced and yummy!
