My wife and I went to KAI a few evenings ago. Very wonderful Japanese food. My wife had Saba Shioyaki and I had Don Katsu. The food came out, we dug in and was very delicious. KAI was quite busy, mostly with take out orders, and they have a limited staff, but our food was delivered to our table with a smile regardless. We will go back again.
I think this is my favorite Japanese restaurant in the South Bay. All the food is so fresh and tasty. I always bring people here for lunch and they're consistently impressed. 5 stars all the way!
Bad service and very rude behavior from the lady (waitress) at the restaurant. We ordered the food and it came quick enough but the presentation was very poor and the rolls were different sizes and thicknesses with varying levels of untidiness. All the rolls we ordered came on round plates placed in the center of the tables and came without side serving plates for each of us. When we asked for plates, the same waitress brought them over and more or less threw them on the table and walked away. Extremely disappointing service and I'm most certainly never going back.
Came for Friday lunch, place was pretty deserted. I played it safe with Chicken Teri and Gyoza. Unimpressed. Chicken itself was chewy and tasteless. Gyoza looked and tasted like they came from the frozen food section. Everything had a burnt aroma. Presentation was nice!
I love Salmon Teriyaki and Chirashi, very fresh! But Grilled Whole Squid is over cooked, too hard to eat.
Great food, amazing customer service, would recommend to anyone! Amazing options and even have a vegetarian menu! 5 stars!!!
Food is good. Cash only below some dollar amount.
I tend to order delivery from here when I’m working late nights at the office. Let me tell you, they do not disappoint. They always throw in a couple extra pieces of something, whether it be a roll or some tempura. It’s like they know somehow that I’m having a rough day at work. The quality is fantastic and these guys deserve 5 stars every time.
The words; flair, spontaneity, creativity and panache arewonderfully defined at Kai. It is anaddictive adventure almost every time. I love the occasional twistsand turns the chef will journey on adding a fish skin salad with smallpieces of slightly bitter and dare Isay fresh! pineapple or perhaps aextra trio of cucumber rolls thistime only. Creativity aside, theirSalmon Skin Handrolls are always sauce light and are rice and salmonHEAVY. 90 percent of SSHRs justannoy with dominant and messysauce overload. Leave that to theamateurs, strap on your jetpack and fly on over to Kai. Not obsessedwith Salmon skin? Go for the Yam Yam roll. You will love the buttery richness of it all. Do it now!
Enjoyed thier Beef teriyaki and tempura! Excellent. Fast, fresh, and delicious.
