Good beers. Very slick liquor selection. Their food is top notch. When you leave impressed by onion rings, you know they take pride in everything served from their kitchen.Took the servers a long time to open up, and the ordering process feels kinda choppy. The fast casual, order from the counter approach works for many food types, but I do not prefer it when it comes to a pizza place. Hoping this style was a result of Covid protocols and we go back to normal eventually
I’d give this 3.5 stars and wouldn’t come back for pizza but may come back for beer. It is asp a little pricey but I think that’s just Bay Area pricing for you.Let’s start with the pizza. I got a large Taylor made. There is nothing special about the pizza. It has generic crust and OK toppings cooked at a safe temperature (no crispy toppings like pepperoni or cheesy spots). The amount of sauce is just OK. Everything about the pizza is just OK and really nothing stands out about it.I also ordered some of their meatball egg rolls but they didn’t get the order in so I never got them.They do have a pretty good beer selection and a nice little seating area outside which was pretty good. I’d honestly just go to Jacks for a beer though if I was in the area.
It was a great experience overall. The pizza was peppered with generous amount of toppings. The only thing I would critic from the dish is that it was a bit too chewy. The ambient music was also slightly too loud to my liking, but it was not a huge bother; I was still able to hold normal conversation.
Drove into town an 1.5 hours with the urge for pizza. Found this hidden pizza place with great customer service, great drinks and delish pizza! The bartenders were great and welcoming as we waited for our food.If you ever want a yummy non-traditional pizza… here is the place!!!!Hawaiian pizza with a side of Kale pesto!!!!! Yum
Great bartender and beer but my pizza was not good. The sauce was covered in raw garlic and it was so overwhelming it burned and I could barely finish the pizza. Only gave two stars for the service and beers.
Excellent pizza! Tried the Godzilla which was super meaty. Even the 10" served my hubby and I comfortably. We added a side of garlic fries though which were perfectly crispy (and almost unkissably garlicky) ? Sitting on the rooftop patio was a treat for a midday lunch. Willing to overlook the higher than usual prices. We'll be back with our dog next time.
Great atmosphere with friendly and welcoming staff. Pizza was excellently excellent (that's right) and beer menu was good. Dogs allowed in patio. Reccomend!!Kind of funny going to Japan town for Italian food, but...it's good!??
Food is bomb. I've only tasted the vegan pizza. But my mother in law enjoyed the non vegan combo. Seating out front, out in the back and not sure if the upper outdoor deck is open yet. They seem to be following cdc covid regulations. Facilities and table are cleaned.
Pizza is decent, but not worth the wait. It took almost 40mins for them to get our simple pizza. There was too much cheese, which made our pizza more chewy than crispy. 2 minus stars for the service.
We're in San Jose for the night and our some who use to live here recommended J-Town Pizza. He is a foodie kinda sort of and loves pizza. MI wife and I each had a small pizza that we could've shared one. The Hawaiian and the Godzilla was each amazing. The selection of beer was really good as well. We would highly recommend.
