Best soul food around. Took me back home to San Antonio TX. Must try the fried fish…. It’s the best! Service is warm, welcoming and felt like I was back in the south. What a great family and restaurant. Thank you Jackie!!!

The first time I went I had the fried Chicken wings which was excellent. The oxtail was flavorless and the gravy was not good. The greens was ok however too many stems. The gravy and rice was not my cup of tea. The chilli beans was ok. The gumbo I didn't eat because it didn't look good (look like box gumbo not homemade). My friend said she didn't like the gumbo. The fried fry was so so ( well I don't like fish that taste like it's been dip in a egg batter). The banana pudding was excellent. Today I will be trying the ribs, chop beef, Mac n cheese, The atmosphere was inviting, staff are attentive and nice. Service is excellent. This Texas native will go back being that it's the only soul food restaurant in town. Anyone so knows souls food knows that it's not the best but I will do. I will support black on business, but they need to revamp the oxtail and gumbo recipes. Ok yeah Corn bread good.

I felt it is a Pleasent place to eat with family, Someone Specisl or even with Friends and so on. the Employees are VERY FRIENDLY and make you feel more than just a Customer It was My 1st time and Im definitly coming back .You should try tje food it was So Good.????

A good soul food place. Reasonable price. Delicious food. Service has been getting better overtime.

Great place to try their ribs, gumbo, and key lime pie among many other delicious foods,, the service is great, and everyone working at this place will say hi and give you a smile, the place is also very clean and nicely decorated, Jackies BBQ sauces are the best! I love coming and returning to this place.

We tried Jackie's place for the first time today for lunch. The food was amazing and such friendly staff! Great cocktails. Nice decor and ambiance. Will definitely come back again!

A good option if you are craving soul food. The staff is friendly, and the place is super clean and with a lot of natural light. Be aware they are suffering (like many others) from a lack of staff, so the wait could be longer than expected. For lunch, I ordered:- Chicken and Waffles- Mac and cheese- ColeslawFood arrives at the right temperature, with flavor and the texture you appreciate every bite. And PLEASE, do yourself a favor and order its banana pudding... chef's kiss.

- two meats combo: [brisket and pulled pork w/ mac & cheese + rice & gravy and corn bread] ($22)- seafood gumbo cup ($10)- "cracka lackin" chicken skins ($7)mhmm jackies place was such a good choice for dinner and im so grateful to have been able to dine in! the staff at this place are so sweet and they really bring out the good vibes. id say my dining experience here felt home-y and the food was so so delicious. i gotta say the rice with gravy was one of my favorite side dishes (def a must try)! the chicken skin was bomb too. the sauces paired with it definitely added a lot of flavor and tasted best freshly made. the brisket is so soft and just melts -and the pull pork with their house bbq sauce really complemented both meats. for the gumbo - the flavor was really good but it was a bit too salty for my liking. overall really enjoyed the place and would love to go back to try the other items on the menu like the desserts :')10/10 would recommend yall checking this spot out!!tip:family/kid friendlyparking spots available in the backbig portions for sharing and take home
