The restaurant itself is charming and has a nice history to it. Offers steaks and BBQ. Good selection of drinks and cocktails as well. The steaks are okay. Not the best, not the worst. I asked for my steak rare and it came out medium. That's just cardinal for a steakhouse. I didn't make a fuss or send it back, just ate it because I don't believe in wasting food. I'd still recommend this place because staff are quite friendly.

Came here for dinner on Saturday night. We asked for table for two with outdoor seatings and put in our orders, waited only a little bit, and were seated. To my surprise, we had small salads waiting for us at the table! We ordered our iced tea and arnold palmer at the table which were served with compostable straws. ? The restaurant serves generous portions. My friend ordered the chicken and ribs combo that had half of a chicken hiding underneath that half rack of ribs, and my half rack baby back ribs were meaty and tender with good tasting BBQ sauce and most of meat falling off the bone. I like the cute little button mushrooms side order. Service was good. I also like the fancy umbrellas setup. The large screen TV with a baseball game that was on at the time gave the place a sports pub feel to the outdoor seating area.

This place was fun. It’s like an old restaurant that’s been around forever. It has a cozy bar area with small old TVs, you can chill waiting for a table. Food is more of a home-made style. We ordered chix & baby back ribs combo cause we were not that hungry and it was enough for 2 people. chicken was a bit dry for me, but baby back ribs were soft. + side of mushroom, mac & cheese (it was my least favorite cause pasta felt overcooked; it almost melts right away in the mouth).

Check their website for hours. The one listed on TripAdviser are wrong. Really good food. Can be very crowded on game nights. Old fashioned atmosphere. Outdoor seating available. I found the staff very helpful. Just ask them. May have to feed a meter to park. Good location in San Jose.

Excellent food and great ol’time feel. Great service and always attempt to stop in for great ribs or steak. Can never go wrong here.!

Wonderful food, great service, and not bad prices! I had the chicken and ribs combo, which was terrific! Chicken was juicy, not dry, and the ribs were unbelievable! Had plenty left over for take home. My friend had the Ribs and Ribs plate, and I imagined a scene from the Flintstones. Great experience all around!

Large portions of delicious food. The chicken was moist and flavorful and the ribs bbq'd to perfection.

Excellent food, quick and easy!

Got their Prime Rib dinner and the red branch cider. Came with a salad (not pictured due to eating it beforehand and it was nice and crisp), baked potato with chive butter (the butter was delicious) and au ju. There was garlic bread with either their version of a marinara sauce or a very tomato BBQ sauce. The cider was great and flavorful, not too sweet, with a hint of tartness. Overall, a great place to try at least once. Definitely going back another day to try the ribs.2-11-22 : Went back to it again and got a full rack of ribs this time around and OMG! It's sssooo good! It was huge that I took some back with me. (Sadly not pictured due to it being delicious).

I'll start by saying that the food was good, the price was reasonable and the staff was helpful. They have a good system to handle a crowd before a Shark's game. All of that said, we were in the bar for more than 1/2 hour, waiting to place our order then waiting in the bar until our table and food was ready. The sign on the door says "masks required" but that was not being enforced by anyone. I know some had a drink in their hand but many were neither eating or drinking, just visiting with friends. Some had masks around their throat, many did not even pretend to have masks. No one was enforcing the mask requirement. We thought we would be in that environment for no more than 5 minutes until we got an outside table, but it was much longer, and there was no way to get more than 2 feet from people without masks. As I said, we should have walked out.
