Happy house has always been a family favorite. The food is always good always fresh and consistent. The only complaint that I have is that they didn't have bottles of teriyaki on the table it may have been due to covid they provided packets which was also fine.
Happi house is my fave. I think the one on Taylor is the original one because I would eat there back in the 80s, and the same flavorful food today.
We got take out; no curbside pickup.Food is just like I remember; pretty good for fast food. What I did not care for was how they package the food. Soup was in one of those really nice plastic non-liquid food container, not one made for soup or liquid. They did put it in a plastic bag, but it still it spilled. The actual food was in little paper bags and boxes. The plate I ordered, pork teriyaki and salad was deconstructed; salad in one box, meat in another. Had trouble reconciling the contents of the the Togo bag with what I ordered. One bright ? light was the guy working the front counter (sorry didn't get the name) he was most excellent in his service. I walk with a cane (that's why I prefer curbside pickup) and he offered to and did take my bags to my car for me. I really appreciated this as it was a particularly challenging day for me.Good thing there is a nice parking lot there with decent size spaces. ☺
I take a Sunday trip to get my teriyaki on!! I go to the on 5th street too!!
Good food, only one poor guy working the register though.
It has been years between meals. But the same taste. An that was good. The last bit was as the first, just years apart. Good meal was enjoyed. They still have it together.
Drove almost 200 miles round trip to get some Happi House Teriyaki chicken, rice, salad and tempura.Definitely worth the time and trip!
Great place for a quick food stop. Restaurant was very clean And customer service was great. You get a good amount of food for the price you pay. I ordered the chicken teriyaki with a side of miso soup. Chicken teriyaki plate was delicious but chicken was a bit too dry for my tasting. Miso soup Definitely needed some flavor and salt. Other than that, will definitely be coming back soon!
Salmon Teriyaki bowl comes with your choice of rice and onion rings. Quantity can be better. Thai Chicken Salad was good but it looked nothing like the advertised or on the menu pictures. Don’t forget to add Teriyaki or Thai sauce to the dish before eating as it’s not pre added. Service was good and staff was friendly.
Yes hi everybody I hate to say this but my experience at teriyaki this time not very good I lived here I'm pretty much all my life I went to this teriyaki place it was a thrifty store behind there and I've been here forever so English it was great but and this this day I don't happen maybe pandemic but kind of greasy dirty and the sunset the sun is like the wind should be tinted because the sun is just it was just not very good what happened we have to move to a different table to avoid the Sun yeah for now that's it I'm kind of really not happy with it and I love happy house I do but this time I have to see that's yeah that's that's it for now yeah
