I've been coming here since I was 15 years old. I'm now 43. My biggest complaint about this place is that they stopped selling the terriyaki bottles because they're blaming the pandemic. THERE IS NO MORE PANDEMIC. PLEASE START SELLING THE TERRIYAKI BOTTLES AGAIN! I doubt I'll give this place any more business ever again. The prices are way too expensive and the portions are terribly small. All I wanted was a bottle of their signature terriyaki sauce and they blamed it on the pandemic. Guess I won't be coming here ever again. This place is sure to go out of business soon. It used to be a lovely place but they emphasize on the pandemic way too much. There's no more pandemic people! I love the salad and chicken terriyaki strips with brown rice but this just isn't worth it anymore. The owner of this place really NEEDS to get a college degree and learn contemporary business. It has great potential but I'm constantly telling my family and friends NEVER to come here. The portions are horribly small and the prices are ridiculously overpriced. This place used to be nice in the 90's right next to Japan town but since they don't sell terriyaki sauce bottles anymore, I'll go somewhere else. Nice restaurant and lovely atmosphere but it's not worth the price and they stopped selling Happi House terriyaki bottles forever. THERE IS NO MORE PANDEMIC! BRING THEM BACK OR THIS PLACE WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS VERY SOON. Located on 5th Street in San Jose CA, this place was a gem and loved. Not so much anymore and everything is overpriced. Portions of food are so small it could barely feed a tiny mouse. These people are blaming everything on the pandemic and it's sad. I used to love eating here every week. Not anymore. I'll find somewhere else who serves terriyaki food. Don't waste your money here. Management is to blame for this joint going out of business. Not worth your time and you only get a tiny portion of food. You can't even purchase the TERRIYAKI BOTTLES anymore! Sad!

We went there on March 17 with my family and spent $84,73. I took the Onion ring because there really cold and hard. The guy Joshua started to get irritated because there's customers in front when I did that. There's no teriyaki sauce in all the table except one in a corner so I went in the front to ask Joshua but I was just standing on the side waiting for him to finish with another customer that complaining to but then all of a sudden, he pinpoint his finger to me and yell you better wait there until I'm done dealing with him. I said you are so rude, you don't have to pinpoint your finger to me coz I'm not even saying anything to you. I'm just standing here waiting. I spent $ 84.73 and got treated like that. It's no good. As much as I love eating happi house, I won't go back while Joshua works there. Maybe they can take him out. He has no personality anyway. It just like he is mad and not happy to his job not like the Mexican girl that always go lucky

I always enjoy coming here when I can. Especially for my husband he lives the food from here. He has been coming here since he was a little kid with his parents when he lived in San Jose. The food is always delicious, hot, and affordable. Great customer service and don't have to wait super long either. They do get busy here, but it is worth the wait. Always look to trying something new when I come here. Interior and exterior is always clean and organized. I wish you guys sold your bottles of Teriyaki sauce now but I understand the pandemic screwed up many businesses. MY HUSBAND HOPES SOMEDAY YOU GUYS MIGUT SET UP SHOP IN TRACY, CA SOME DAY. HE AND I WOULD WOULD BE LOYAY CUSTOMERS EVERY WEEK OR DAY TOO. Keep doing what you do. Thank you.

I grew up eating at Happi House, particularly this location in Japan Town. It it really saddens me that they've had to shutter their other restaurants in Mountain View and So. San Jose. I'm so glad this one is still open. I hope that they hang on and expand again.

decent Asian teriyaki fast food, Semi clean bathroom small hole in the wall. Food came out pretty fast the udon was tasty and hot. Is my wife liked the teriyaki bowl.

My favorite fast foods I love the salad and all of their food is very close to what Grandma makes she's my step Grandma Japanese but she's a good cook very similar to this place just a wee bit better and yes she's Japanese just like my stepdad

I had Asian chicken salad which was lightly flavored. I also had beef rice bowl with broccoli and squash. They had their teriyaki flavor on the table to make it into the delicious teriyaki bowl. We ordered onion rings on the side and some udon soup with tofu. Also tried some tempura shrimp ?. All good stuff. ?great place and location. Good employees. Nice and clean. Definitely made us happy to eat at Happi House!

Horrible. My mask broke so I asked them for one when I came in last told me no. Told me I can't order. I asked if I can stand outside and place a phone order and just come in when it's ready to pay. She told me no. I had to borrow someone else's mask that was walking out.

Walked in and the cashier looked seen my american flag hat and told me to get out . i didnt know that they hate america . i will never come back after this .

Demonrats keep raising prices
