I wasn't too impressed with Messob. I've had better Ethiopian food in DC. This was the first place I tried in SF. They only have one person seating people and taking orders. We waited about 10min to be seated, 15min to order and get water then 45min for our food. Maybe that's why I had high expectations for the food. The staff were very nice and street parking was easy. I would try somewhere else before going back.

One of the best Ethiopian places in town, it off wrote a few to choose from. Friendly service and great food. I usually have the veggie combo. And they do a great job packaging did for pickup.

I personally loved the veggie plater, especially the lentils! Great customer service

Street parking so be aware. The building is old but don't be deceived by the appearance for the food is delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful with questions about the food, if this is your first visit, and recommendations. I tried the meat combo (choices of spicy degrees). So good. Tried their honey wine. Interesting. Very earthy.

Food and service were both wonderful. An exciting mix of flavors with options for those that do not like tons of heat. Side note: the injera bread served with the food is gluten free! So great option for those with celiac disease or gluten intolerance. Don't sleep on the coffee afterward!

Despite the place being pretty empty late on a weekday the food was excellent and plentiful. Staff was friendly and happy to explain some of background to the interesting sourdough bread

Hidden gem - excellent food, and friendly service. The place has been around for more than 2 decades.

Super delicious food. The wait wasn't bad either. Be patient. It's worth it.

Cannot recommend this place enough! This is my favorite spot to grab a vegetarian combo and a meat combo. The staff is great and the portions are generous.

I heard good things about Gojo, so I gave it a try. Gojo is really good! This is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants in the Bay Area that I have tried. Their kitfo is incredible...best I've had.
