Best place downtown for sandwiches. The bread is freshly baked and both crunchy and soft.$12 sammies.Plenty of parking.Cash only.

After two years of not having a fresh sandwich it was good to come back and get that fresh amazing #9 call Country favorite

Came on a Friday for lunch. Very clean and quick service. Amicable staff and great ownership. Ordered the salami sandwich and it was delicious. Highly recommend this local business.

Exactly what you’re expecting in a sandwich shop. They use fresh baked sourdough bread, Boar’s Head brand meats, and friendly/helpful staff. Gets busy so be prepared to wait a little bit. Today we waited 15 minutes before we could order, but they are a machine and move the line quickly.

Fast service and tasty too!

This hidden gem has THE BEST sandwiches in San Jose. Back in college, everyone in Greek row called it the “secret sandwich shop” because of its lowkey profile. I usually get the classic for the 3 different meats, but you really can’t go wrong with any sandwich. The sourdough bread also comes out steaming hot is mouth watering good.

There isn’t a better sandwich anywhere and the same family has been running it ever since I first heard of this place nearly 20 years ago. I will go out of my way to get a sandwich here every time I’m in San Jose. Thanks again.

Consistently good sandwiches made with freshly roasted and sliced cold-cuts on fresh baked still-warm sourdough. They are quick & delicious. My fav is the the German bologna. Sandwiches are large. Not squishy subway bread, nice soft fresh warm sourdough with a crunchy crust. Employee/owners I think. Been having lunch there since the ‘90’s. I have to make special trips now as I don’t work downtown any longer. During Covid, easy parking on the street out front. Easy in/out for to-go.

One of the best sandwiches in the world Especially the Bologna sandwich Me and my family have been going to this restaurant for 20 years We are locals there and their super kind there It's always a fun time going at this place.

Really awesome, especially delicious sandwiches on the freshest baked-in-house sourdough bread. I had their pastrami and it was the best I've had in years. Very fast and friendly service! Do yourself a favor and check out this hidden gem. (FYI cash only but atm onsite)
