The raspberry, mango, guava and hazelnut chocolate are my favorite flavors. Love after dark chocolate is just okay.8” cake costs $50+. There are more flavors of cupcakes in store than online menu. Suggest to come to the store to check them out!
My friends decided on a last minute trip to the bay area. And one of them had a birthday during the same visit. So I started looking for places to order a last minute cake.Saw the reviews on yelp and thought of giving this place a try. They have a wide selection of cakes that can be delivered through DoorDash.I ordered the "Ravishing Raspberry" 7" cake. The cake was packed well and didn't get damaged during delivery. They also followed the special instructions. It was very moist and just the right amount of sweet.Had plenty of berries on it as well. My friend liked it very much.
Sent two cake requests online but didn’t hear back so I decided to call the store. Someone told me, oh Ani probably won’t get back to you? Then why have a custom cake request? So placing an order for custom cake is by luck? If you’re lucky, you get your name chosen and that’s how you get a custom cake from here? Well since this place was recommended, I decided to give it a try. Since it was too last minute to place a custom order, we went with a 10” Ravishing Raspberry for pick up on SATURDAY Amoy SUNDAY at 10 am. Came to the store and it is not there. WTH, I confirmed this order twice. They said it was for pick on Sunday. Told me to wait for 10 mins while they assemble the cake, which turn out longer. They presented me the cake and the name is spelled wrong! So they attempted to fix it but handwriting flow isn’t the same. So $135 wasted and truly unhappy and unsatisfied with the service. They need to get their act together. Maybe they have enough customers that don’t care. While waiting I was observing their cake showcase and was horrified to see the food sign and inserts has mold in it! Food inspectors will have a great field day with this place. And to respond to ANI, I’m not smashing your reputation. I am stating the truth. Folks, beware, pictures don’t lie, you can clearly see the mold on the signs and it looks it hasn’t been change in a loooonnnggg time. They do look like flower colorful signs BUT with dark, MOLD on them. Pictures don’t lie. Just stating the truth here.I called a couple times because I originally wanted a custom cake but you didn’t even respond to let me know whether this was possible or not! Then I called a second time and someone told me (with you in the background) that this is not possible so I decided to place an order for a 10” for $135 instead of going with two cakes for $45 each. And again, I told the lady who took the order to make sure it is for Saturday and have confirmed before hanging up. Own up to your mistake and stop trying to cover it and you have done with your other responses. This is how you loose customers. And by the way, your raspberry moose was so soft and cake too crumbly so when I cut into a few slices, the cake fell over and can’t hold the shape which is terrible.
Great ambiance and very yummy pastries and coffee
For my 1-year-old son's "Smash Cake" photoshoot, we've found out that the photo studio will not be providing the cake 2 days before the shoot.I've looked everywhere for custom cake that can be done within 2 days. This was the only place was kind enough to let us place the order the day before. The head cake master Ani was kind, professional, and thorough. Not forgetting allergy concerns with ingredients, as well as temperature concerns during transport. After attaching some photos and discussing over the phone, we decided to order single-tier, 6-inch-tall, 8-inch-diameter, skyblue cake. The cake we've received was SIMPLY FANTASTIC, very appropriate for the photo shoot theme. Not only did it look fantastic, it tasted amazing as well.In short, the photo shoot was a total success and my son had a blast smashing and munching on the cake. We munched on it after as well :-)We'll be visiting this store often as long as we live in the Bay Area.
Visited on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my neighbor's birthday. Now serves only pastries, no longer light lunch. One of the few lady like sites in our area. We had a dessert & coffee. Interior is looking a bit tired, possibly because a new location opened in The Pruneyard. Person who helped us was very nice. We will continue to patronize this location and hope they prosper in this difficult time of business recovery from C19.
The cakes and pastries are delicious! We got a few different ones to try and enjoyed them all. I liked the flour flour chocolate cake the most.It was not too busy on a Saturday afternoon and service was quick. There is parking behind the building.
Omg love this place. Our favorite is the mango cake. I've door dashed these cakes as birthday surprises and everyone loves them. Can't go wrong with any flavor.
This is a bakery thats been around for awhile. Really good tarts, quiches and an assortment of pastries. They box each pastry or tart up in a little box. Warm and inviting. Seating is inside ans out.
My wife and I stopped in to their Pruneyard location on a whim to treat ourselves to a pastry, which we shared with tea and coffee. Unfortunately, the chocolate slice on display looked much better than it tasted. The cake was overly dry and the chocolate icing had much more sugar than a typical French pastry. It definitely wasn’t worth seven bucks a slice. The worst part of our experience was the service. When I told the barista that my coffee was lukewarm, her response was “It seems ok to me.” Seriously?! I thought she’d say something like “Sorry, do you mind waiting while I brew a fresh pot.” Given that kind of attitude, I’ll never go back.
