Located right near the airport (the last place you would expect great seafood) is this gem of a restaurant off the highway. Dirt roads through local neighborhood leads you to this oasis. Went on a Sunday afternoon. Large restaurant was packed with mostly locals (including the Federales) and just one other table of tourist. They started us off with a small cup of complimentary seafood consume that was amazing. Had a huge ceviche Veracruz (Veracruz is with guacamole), octopus in olive oil that came with vegetables, rice and mashed potatoes. Daughter ordered three carne asada tacos and came with grilled onions and guacamole. Had some beers and fresh fruit juice. Total bill was around $50, a great value. Highly recommend this place.

We found this restaurant on YouTube. The experience was better than expected. This restaurant is not in the hotel zone, and most of the people appeared to be locals. It had the feeling of a favorite neighborhood family-owned restaurant. We walked in to experience the live band playing on the 2nd floor. They eventually made their way to where we were and saw they were playing table to table. They stopped at a party of a large group of people who sang along with the group for 5 or more songs and had other tables singing along with them. The entertainment value was a 10! The cuisine was seafood, and extensive, deciding what to order a difficult task but the waiter was patient and as helpful as he could be with our language barrier. The meal started with chips, salsa, and soup free of charge. When the meals arrived the video didn't lie. The serving size was large, and the flavor was amazing. Every plate could have been shared by 2 people. When the bill arrived, we thought there was a mistake. This was our last dinner after being in Cabo for a week, and the price for our entire table of four. Including a round of beers, was the average price of what we were paying for a single person at other restaurants in the hotel zone. If you are open to trying new restaurants outside of the tourist zones, I highly suggest trying El Torro. You and your wallet will not be disappointed.

This place is not fancy with their seafood is so fresh that sells out everything, we started with almejas which are big cut in pieces with lime Amazing !! Ceviches of all kinds we had the one with fresh fish, shrimp & octopus to die for?and of course oysters I can literally taste the ocean.

Really liked this place. Had a grilled fish fillet an fish tacos. The fillet was fresh done perfectly. Best of the trip. Very friendly staff.

Absolutely the best stuffed shrimp of my life. Authentic food and atmosphere. Attentive staff with some English, easy to communicate.

My husband and I have been to this place more than once in the past years , my last visit today was rather disappointing, the service was ok , I was looking forward to eat here, I decided to try their tuna tartar which was by far the worst I ever had , the tuna was not fresh at all and it was saturated with sauce probably to hide the fact that it wasn't fresh , my husband ordered the pulpo in a Diabla sauce , the octopus was not tasting right , I think is completely overpriced,

Oh my where do I start? Should have stopped by here since the first day we landed in San Jose Del Cabo. They have the best Mariscos to in town. Everything is fresh and they have that Sazon you need I life. Nothing like the crap food you get everywhere else that their food is bland. We loved it so much we just kept ordering until our bellies were stuffed. Highly recommend this place!

If you like fresh seafood, this is the place! This is a "local" restaraunt; where the locals go for good seafood. You won't see too many tourists there; they just don't know about it. It is in El Centro, close to art shops and the town square. They also have Mexican dishes and "Turf" dishes, a full bar and great service. The prices are very reasonable. This is a "family" restaraunt. Reservations are probably not neccessary; they have lots of tables.

Went on a recommendation of local resident . We ordered the Seafood cooked in a clay pot with avocado, bell peppers, and onions served with tortilla. Complimentary Margarita was just ok. I did notice that the others ordered chicken and shrimps, which had more vegetables and avocados. I ordered just Sea Bass which was very sparse and no avocado. Overall food was good. I felt a Little cheated. The ambiance is very hot and dark. I did mention to the staff that more fans are needed. Price was ok. Hope you enjoy, hopefully the weather is a little less humid.

As a Mexican woman I am pretty picky about what I eat in Mexico because I know the difference between tourist flavors and authenticity. As soon as you walk in you see many locals which is a good sign in Cabo. Don't be fooled by the simple menu and be sure to ask the waitstaff what they recommend and order it! My favorite are the chicharron de pargo which are red snapper rinds. The crispiness combined with flavor will have you coming back multiple times on the same trip. The natural juices are actually natural and the ceviche is delicious. Don't miss a trip here and if you can, make sure and visit the San Jose Del Cabo location over the Cabo San Lucas one.
