We love this restaurant. There is an upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs can accommodate up to 500 guests and downstairs up to 250/300 guests. Very good dim sum and nice staff. We were there last week for my cousins wedding. They will accommodate for weddings and decorations. My cousins wedding was very elegant. Wedding/banquet dishes are very consistently tasty. I highly recommend Dynasty whether for dim sum or a tasty and traditional Chinese dinner.
Drinking glasses not washed good (lip marks on rim found on numerous glasses). Some plates were not cleaned properly (pieces of food not fully cleaned off). The meat from the chicken and beef dishes lost it's texture and taste from their method of tenderizing the meat. Fish had an off smell & taste which definitely was not fresh.
There's nothing like dim sum! This has always been a place that I've gone with my family and friends to enjoy the best dim sum around! I highly recommend a visit here!
Dim sum was cold! Their other location in Sacramento is way better!
One of the best chinese restaurants in San Jose. Serving is incredibly fast as you pick up plates from the moving carts.
We won't be coming back, food quality has gone down hill and prices have gone up ridiculously high. Not worth the time or effort, there are so many better places these days, their golden hay days of glory has past and only a shadow is left. We spent over $80 for dimsum for two, I had to ask about the charges, we were even charged for tea, a small plate of duck was $20, it was dry and tasteless, even the soysauce surrendered. Most of the fried dimsum were refried leftover from yesterday, it was so dry that we drank our fill of tea, and still could not remove the gritty residue from our tongue. Overall we should have went somewhere else.
It was packed on Christmas Day, so I'm glad that we went early. They were still using the carts for dim sum, so while it was very nostalgic, it wasn't exactly COVID friendly. Shiu Mai and Shrimp dumplings were good. They had most of the classics, but it wasn't particularly impressive. Service was good. Prices are reasonable. I'd probably try other dim sum restaurants first before coming back again.
The dim sum in the lunch time is great. Plenty of choices and great quality. The service is also great. I would give 5 stars.But the dinner has very limited choices. The service is still great. But the food is so so. I would give 3 stars.
Amazing place to eat. Would recomend. where i live in southern oregon there is no dim sum so its always a treat when i am able to visit and eat here.. only down side is how expensive it is but totally worth every penny
