BEWARE: Went there for a funeral reception and the experience could not have been any worse. We had an extremely large party (close to 200). Mostly elderly so it was an extremely relaxed group. You would think that spending that kind of money would get you quality service. Nope. It was miserable. The owner was rude. They turned the AC off prior to serving any food and everyone being seated (probably to rush us out of there). The food was awful. We seriously would have had a better experience literally anywhere else. Especially at the price they charged. I'm honestly shocked at how they treated the family, how bad the food was and how bad the overall service was. They had a chance to gain new customers and completely missed the opportunity. Will never go back and if you are reading this please save your money and go somewhere else.*UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER*First and foremost, I was a guest. A friend of the family. There was nowhere near 220 people and lastly the food was not good enough nor was there enough for anyone to overload their plate. I will say a park would have been miles better. Again folks, look at the manager/owner response and do yourself a favor look at some of the other reviews and judge for yourself. There are a number of independent reviews from separate events that had the same experience. To the owner. When the food is terrible and the service is awful maybe it's time to close the doors.
I too was there for a funeral reception and they can not handle a large party. They’re not friendly which is a must on any restaurant. Food was awful and felt cheap. What looked the most appetizing was their salad and bread which was gone by the time I got to it. Save your money this place has that vibe like it’s drowning and just wanna take your money instead providing good food and customer service.
Went to visit a friend and do lunch..went to an old fav in our hometown and we had the best steak in I don't remember how long!!Fried shrimp appetizer that was hot and crunchy, perfect!! Salad was fresh and crisp!!Live in Livermore with many good restaurants, but haven't had a restaurant do a steak this good in forever. Service was really good too!!Clean! And really happy we chose to go to "The Shed"!!
I show for my random steak dinner experience usually the elderly gentleman seats me in nice booth so I enjoy the steak house experience but for first time another person is working ignores me standing at the podium then directs me to the bar and says can I help with something and expecting me to have steak dinner in the bar at steak house price I want a little more than bar seating is that expecting too much. So told him I’ll come back another time will consider giving it another shot see how it goes if it ends being the same experience I’ll find a new spot so much for trying to support your neighborhood establishment
I DONT EVEN WANT TO GIVE ONE STAR BUT YOU HAVE TO, TO POST REVIEW This place is a joke! Management charged 220 for chairs. Amount of chairs were less of what was paid for...mentioned to management and she was very rude...buffet food was horrible, portions for guest were horrible, staff was horrible, ...just a very bad experience overall never never go hereThe most f up thing about this experience was the price and that they only brought out food one time..that didn't even feed the amount of folks at our reception...so disappointing!
Dined there for their special $65 Prime Rib Tuesday dinner for two people. That includes sides, bread, & salad. Service was excellent & the food was brought out in relatively quick fashion & prepared as ordered. The dining room consists of mostly booth seating which is comfortable & allows for a semi private atmosphere for you & your date. Reservations weren't required on this particular night, but it's better to be safe than having to settle for another Taco Tuesday dinner.
The customer service is ok. The manager, Ed, is very responsive.I was reluctant to have my father’s 1 year memorial celebration here, but with limited time to reserve a restaurant, several hotels denying banquet room requests due to Covid, and several more restaurants not being able to host a head count of 150, The Drying Shed was our only option. The day of the event, the room setup was decent. However, the main dishes were terrible. I was extremely disappointed in the quality of the food. The chicken teriyaki looked like chicken chunks dumped in a watered down teriyaki sauce. The roast beef was almost a grayish color and lacked heavily in seasoning. The smoked salmon might as well had been served frozen. The lasagna looked terrible and lacked flavor. The fruits and veggies were probably the only decent tasting buffet items.Tho the people are kind, the food quality lacks heavily. I would not recommend this place for a party or special event.
I am so disgusted with the woman who claimed to be "the owner" and stated to us "what she says goes." I was the only Caucasian with our party and she directed her conversations to me. Totally, bringing rude, argumentative and inconsiderate of what was truly happening in her establishment. She had Tejano bands booked for the evening and her entire restaurant was full of the Hispanic community all the way from Merced and Modesto. Yet she still chose to lose business then to de-escalate the situation. I do not recommend this place. Not only was this establishment understaffed, the owner was entitled, rude and profiled her guests. If I did business like this, I would not have any customers.
Hidden Gem!!! Prime rib on Tuesdays is phenomenal. Denise is spectacular... definitely a mom and pop type of feel...
I reserved this place for a 1 yr memorial lunch for my husband for 150 ppl.Salmon was an addition to the original entree menu (beef, chicken). The chicken and beef was like cut into pans of hot water with no taste. I was only seeing 3 salmon out there. The starting time was not kept. Been standing outside for almost 30 min. The older lady kept saying wait, we are not ready. Will not do business there again
