Great katsu and curry and food ing eneral. Your meat will be crispy and juicy. Your rice will be plush and hot. Your curry will be tasty and curry. Then afterwards treat yourself to 7leaves.Reminder to order ahead for optimal experience (even when dining in store). There is a parking lot in front so should be easy to park here.

There is only online ordering even for dine in. There is a particular balance of when you should place an order online... When you arrive, chances are you won't get a seat. Food will take at least 30 minutes to come out. So if you want to order dine-in, you might get your food before you get your seat. If you order to-go, a table might open and you may regret not ordering for dine-in. However, you can always change your order to dine-in if your to-go order is not ready yet. The wait is not terrible for the quality of food you get. The katsu is perfectly fried and I was really surprised by the quality and taste of the tegone cheese hamburger curry plate. Worth a try! One of the best curry places in the bay.

Had to order online first then sit to dine in. Waited 30 minutes for the food. Ordered the tegone cheese in hamburg curry rice with mushrooms. Added fukujinzuke/pickles for $1, which is a must for curry! It was very good and filling. The seating was scattered and disorganized, so it'd be nice to see the seating area taken care of more.

Nice little spot. I had beef meatball curry (can't remember the actual menu item name ?) and it was pretty excellent. There isn't a lot of seating and a line formed right after we got seats, but service was pretty quick, given the rush. Would definitely eat here again!

Demiya is my go-to restaurant whenever I get the craving for some delicious curry and katsu.I can't say enough good things about the quality of their food. Their curry is flavorful and not too spicy, which works out well in my favor since I don't have any spice tolerance to speak of. Nevertheless, if you'd like your curry with a bit more kick, the spice level can be increased to your taste. Along with their curry, you get a serving of fluffy white rice and your choice of a protein. My personal favorites are the chicken katsu and mench katsu (deep fried burger), which are also so so crispy providing the perfect bite. Personally, I always find myself with enough food to last for two meals, so that's also a big plus in my book.Of note, I've only ordered online and picked up in store, so I can't really speak to the dine-in experience (or the in-person wait times); however, their online ordering process is very straightforward and easy to navigate. After placing your order, the Clover platform will give you a estimated time for pick up, and when you get to the restaurant you can walk right on in and grab your take-out bag from the counter. If you like well-made curry and katsu, then I highly recommend giving Demiya a try!

The curry plates here are very tasty. But my review score is only average due to the extremely long wait times to prepare the food. After placing my takeout order, it took more than 45 minutes for the order to be ready. That's not really feasible for anybody that has any sort of schedule or place to be. Maybe I'm mistaken, but given that the curries are probably precooked and only the proteins freshly fried, I really didn't think it would take so long to fulfill an order of two curry plates with tonkatsu.I've been here two times with basically the same result. So I can't really recommend coming here unless you're free for half a day.

Its good curry but its not great curry. For Japanese curry, I would rank Kizuna as #1 here, Curry Life as #2 and Demiya as #3.Its still not bad but there are better options.

Went here with my son. We both agreed, we'd be back.

mobile/online ordering is a little confusing and not the most efficient. i ended up just going to the restaurant and placing my to go order there (on my phone…) anyway, food was tasty and reasonably priced.
