I have mixed feeling about this restaurant. My husband and I came for lunch because of the high review of this restaurant. They used digital menu but the signal there was a bit hard to connect. You could ask for help if you have trouble with opening the menu.We ordered Sashimi salad and Seafood Raman. The food came fast and they looked great on their presentation. I loved how they have sashimi salad choice. For someone like me that didn’t want to have too much rice. It was a perfect choice.Seafood Raman came first and it was absolutely amazing. We loved the soup and seafood tasted very fresh. The presentation on Sashimi salad was very nice. Everything tasted great except the tuna we had that day. It just tasted really fishy and not fresh. We decided to tell the staff, so the next customer wouldn’t feel the same thing and here was our conversation.Me: The tuna doesn’t tasted freshStaff: The tuna is fresh!Me: But it doesn’t taste like thatStaff: A lot of customer said tuna tasted fishy because we changed our supplier recently. But if you are worried, don’t worry the tuna is fresh.——-Well this threw me off a little bit because I loved sashimi and the quality of the tuna was way off. Maybe they were not using sashimi grade of fish or any reason. For $19.5, I was super disappointed with the food and the service.I am not sure if I would come back again, but their Seafood Raman was really good, so maybe I would give it another try sometime.
Chicken karaage salad was a good portion for the price and the salad dressing went really well with the dish. The rice dishes on the other hand tasted bland and lacking proper seasoning. I did appreciate the meat/fish amount they put in each pot though. Good little spot to grab a quick bit or hang out to have sake.
Super delicious. We had quite the spread, from edamame to takowasa and takoyaki. Ramen was good and the yaki niku don was a LOT of food. Grab a bottle of sake and dive in.
We love the food from this restaurant as returned customer. However, this place seems becoming a hot spot for car break-ins. We had two cars smashed after dine in here 2 weeks ago. Picking up today and again saw a car with broken windows outside the restaurant in the day light. I know this is definitely not the fault of the restaurant. But pls be aware of the risk when coming here. The employees of the resultant seem seen enough of these. Maybe it’s time to work with the mall to provide some extra security measure to your customers.
I got takeout from here. Not only the presentation was good but also the taste was amazing! Eel was tender and flavorful. I finished the entire bowl in one go!
Fantastic food and great service. Make reservations we waited 1 hour but well worth it.
Went at 7am on a Saturday and only had to wait 15 minutes before getting a seat. The servers were extremely nice and attentive. They don't give water???? And charge a dollar for a bottle of water??? Like c'mon it's 2022 why they still doing this
The food here was AMAZING. We got seated in one of those booths that you needed to take your shoes off. It was like a private dining experience. There is so much attention to detail in each dish. My group of 4 adults ordered the aburi salmon carpaccio, vegetable okonomiyaki, premium Kani chirashi, deluxe meshi with uni, and premium sashimi set, and takoyaki. The aburi salmon carpaccio was one of my favorite dishes. Each salmon was seared perfectly and had a great balance of sweet, savory, and onions. The deluxe stone meshi with uni was also one of my favorites! The seared salmon mixed with fresh uni and perfectly poached egg with crunchy rice and tobiko hit the spot.Veggie okonomiyaki wasn't smothered in mayo but it was a little dry with limited veggies. The sashimi set came with a bunch of side dishes. The raw octopus had Wasabi flavor in the middle which was okay. The monkfish liver was delicious!!!!! And the eel was cooked to perfection. Sashimi was all very fresh.Chirashi bowl had fresh crab and eel in it and it was delicious. The rice to meat ratio was a little high. But everything was fresh and the tastes balanced each other out.Takoyaki was hot and flavorful but the outer shell was a little thick.Overall I would come here again for the meshi (stone pot) and aburi salmon carpaccio and then I would try other dishes as well.
You cannot miss the Best Japanese Bento in Bay area! The beef don and clam ramen are the popular dishes as well!
I ordered sashimi bowl (with rice) and deluxe sashimi combo for delivery, both indeed not even mediocre….. for other dishes, eel is too sweet, and I won’t order the pudding. Bad even for the price. The best thing in the order is the beef tongue, which I rate maybe 5-6/10 lol.
